What you can expect

Te Rā Guided Experience:

  • Watch our carvers and weavers in action at the NZ Māori Arts & Crafts Institute.
  • Browse and shop for taonga created by our tauira (students), pouako and tumu (teachers) at Āhua Gallery.
  • Witness live active Kiwis in their nocturnal enclosure at our Kiwi Conservation Centre.
  • Explore the Te Whakarewarewa geothermal valley and marvel at the Pōhutu Geyser.

Please allow a minimum of 90 minutes.

All tours operate on a shared tour basis, with our 36-seat electric passenger shuttle delivering guests from the geyser terrace back to the start.
