We specialise in small groups and personal experiences with quality at the heart of everything we do. Our huskies are extremely friendly and good with children or nervous guests. Our equipment is of premium quality and you won't find our cake in the shops! But most of all, our dogs are the stars of this experience and by the end of the tour, we're sure you'll love them as much as we do.

Know before you book

  • Not recommended for travellers with spinal injuries
  • Not recommended for pregnant travellers
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Infant seats are available for the vehicle transfer
  • Not suitable for babies under 2 years - very young children should be able to sit up unaided
  • Guests must be mobile (without walking aids) and able to sit on a low sleigh bench with knees bent
  • Pregnant guests join at their own risk
  • Guests weighing more than 100kg should notify us when booking the tour. In some circumstances, unfortunately, we may request that you book 2 places on the sleigh, for your own comfort and the comfort of our other guests sharing the sleigh with you.

Activity itinerary

A magical day-time dog sleigh ride where guests sit on a big sleigh driven by a professional guide and pulled by 12 huskies. We pick you up from central Kiruna and drive you to our kennels just 10-15 minutes out of town. Arriving at the kennels you are provided with premium quality arctic outerwear to keep you warm. This includes, parka jacket, insulated trousers, arctic Sorel boots and mittens. We have kit available in most children and adult sizes. To start the tour you will be divided into groups of 4 adults on each sleigh (max. 5p in family groups). Then the fun begins! We set off winding our way through the forest and across frozen lakes on trails away from the main tourist areas. If lucky you might see moose or reindeer. Half way through the tour we stop for a warming drink and homemade cake at our Lavvu (tipi tent). This is a great time to meet the dogs up close and have a cuddle. Our guides are knowledgable on the local area and about our huskies and you are welcome to ask them questions. This activity is perfect for families, couples or individuals. Also available as a private tour. Pick-up locations are in CENTRAL KIRUNA ONLY and selected during the booking process.

Un pò scettico all'inizio (troppo per turisti, pensavo...), mi sono invece ricreduto per la bellezza della natura attraversata e l'emozione di muovermi velocemente come i Sami fanno da centinaia di anni. Brave le guide, insuperabili i cani (tra l'altro affettuosissimi).

Fue una experiencia inolvidable. Los caninos muy amorosos se dejaron acariciar e hicieron un gran trabajo transportándonos hacia una zona donde nos dieron alimentos y retornamos nuevamente junto a ellos. Es muy importante mencionar que nos brindaron ropa especial para tener una experiencia única y cómoda. Muy recomendados!

Die Schlittenfahrt war toll und genauso, wie wir es uns vorgestellt hatten. Wir wurden vor der Fahrt alle mit wunderbar warmer Kleidung und Schuhen ausgestattet. Beim Ride hatten wir einen tollen Schlittenführer (András), mit dem wir uns sehr nett unterhalten haben. Die Kaffeepause im Tipi war gemütlich und man konnte mit den Hunden kuscheln und ein paar schöne Fotos machen, bevor es zurück zum Lager ging. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis und einer der Höhepunkte unserer Lappland-Reise.

This excursion is a must-do. We were very lucky with the weather—it wasn’t too cold, around -7°C, and the sun was shining. We got to ride together on one sled. During the excursion, we enjoyed tea and homemade pastries in a tipi tent. The other participants were from Belgium, which made the experience even more fun. The excursion was led by a British lady and a Slovak man.
