What you can expect

Take to the water with a 1 or 2-day ticket allowing you to hop on and off a Sydney Harbour rocket ferry to cruise along the harbour at your own pace. With commentary along the route, learn about Australian history and the importance of the harbour from the city's soul.

Your ticket enables you to visit up to five famous harbourside locations:

  • Circular Quay: Near the historic precinct of The Rocks, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Royal Botanic Gardens.
  • Taronga Zoo: Australia's amazing wildlife including koalas, platypus, and kangaroos. Park entry fees apply.
  • Watsons Bay: Doyles on the Beach, a famous seafood restaurant. A short walk to beautiful swimming beaches, HMAS Watson, and headland parks.
  • Shark Island: An island national park perfect for a picnic lunch or a swim.
  • Manly: Visit Manly's famous beaches, restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops.

Note 2-Day ticket is valid for 2 consecutive days.

This was the perfect combibation for us. We had 2 days in Sydney and wanted to see Taranga Zoo, Shark Island and Manly Beach. Having the Hop On Hop Off Ferry forv2 days meant we could do it all, and a little more, for a very reasonable price. The zoo was great but make sure you get the bus up and enter at the top then work your way down.

Don’t book Captain Cook Fast Ferry. We had the 2 day hop on/off ticket and when we checked in, I explained that we would be using it the next day as well. The lady at the booth gave us a schedule to help plan our days. When the ferry didn’t show up at Manly Beach on the second day, I consulted the schedule I was given and saw that the ferry only runs Monday to Friday, it was Saturday. So we had to pay for the public ferry to get back. We ended up paying over $20 each for only one ferry ride. Turns out there was another schedule for weekends but we weren’t informed. Use the public ferry, they are much better! Zoo was great, easy to get to by ferry.

It’s a god trip especially if you want to see some native Australian species. The Zoo is well maintained and viewer friendly. Requires some time to get used to the directions and the map. Sometimes they are pretty clear. Fun to take the sky ride up to the zoo and down to the ferry ride. Saw Koalas up close and took personal pics. Had to buy additional ticket for Koala pic. The Tigers were the best part though. Suggest taking the hop on hop off ferry cruise boats to the zoo. Covers seeing the beautiful Opera, the Harbor bridge the Sydney skyline.
