This tour was one of the top highlights of our 2 week Greece honeymoon. Our guide was Stavros, who was one of the best guides we’ve ever had. He was a ton of fun, extremely knowledgable, and went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. Stavros’ humor and ability to connect with us was incredible. We ended up learning a ton about “The Real Crete” as Stavros put it, including ancient civilizations, Crete history, life in the towns and mountains, farming and shepherd life. I cannot recommend this tour enough truly especially with Stavros. If we had just 1 day in Crete, the tour with Stavros would have been the best way to spend it. We will forever remember this tour and Stavros!

Really great tour to see the authentic side of Crete. We visited sites like the windmills, an olive oil factory and Knossos Palace but we also visited some small villages, two local farms and a local restaurant for delicious Cretan food. Stavros (Ed) was a great guide. He is full of energy and information to keep the tour going for the full day. He is really passoniate about showing off his home island and really gives a personal tour. Would definitely recommend this tour if you want to see more than the normal tourist sites.

This was a very good tour. We enjoyed all of it and Dimitri was an excellent tour guide. The olive oil factory was interesting and we loved the little villiage that we stopped in for coffee. Warning, the Cave of Zeus, is not an easy walk. It is a steep uphill climb. Once you are there it is 200 steps down to the cave and 200 back up. It is beautiful though and worth it. Just be sure to wear sneakers and not flip flops. The lunch we had with the tour was also delicious. Thank you Dimitri for a wonderful day.!

The fact that is was real Crete is what made it perfect. Great guide full of information and good fun. Took us to see and appreciate rural Crete. Picking strawberries and tasting melon straight from the field surrounded by majestic mountains and a glass of local wine added to the experience. If you want to travel in a small group and see the real side of Crete, eat great local food and visit things avoiding the crowds then this is a must.

This tour was the best tour of our vacation. Our tour guide, Ed, was so knowledgeable about Greek history and sharing all this with us was absolutely perfection. He was not only knowledgeable about the history but we found him to be very entertaining and fun!! It was the highlight of a 12 day Greek island vacation and I would recommend this to anyone. I wouldn’t miss it and would do it again when I come back to Crete. Thank you so very much for a wonderful day!
