Avoid At All Costs - Saving Money Isn’t Worth It
Absolutely horrible experience! Arrived very late at night to find we had to check in at another hotel down the road, and when we got to Aston city we wished we hadn’t. The entryway was filthy and used like a dumping ground, there was no lift (only very steep winding stairs with peeling carpet), and the room itself was horrible. The carpet was stained and the room had an overall horrible smell. The mattresses were stained and even some of the sheets had unknown masks. The bathroom was so tiny that having a shower drenched the entire room. Worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and I wouldn’t have stayed in it had it not been for only 1 night. Horrible. Cannot recommend avoiding this hotel enough!

Below average hotel
Very average hotel, with many stains in the room carpets and stairwells, mold near the patio door, scary patio, ants in the room, burn marks on some of the outlets, no elevator, no AC. Not cheap either and not a value for the money we spent.

The hotel is located in a great area ! Close to museums and other touristy attractions Hotel is not in best condition but for the price you pay it is worth it. If you are looking for a cheap place where you can sleep it’s perfect. Room is very small Stuff is excellent

Ceiling leaked mold water and got all of my clothes soaking wet no returns were made such a horrible experience room smelled like mold staff was helpful but I need my money back and hotels.com did nothing to help

Overally for us as a couple who just wanted to sleep there was ok. Although our room was in the 5th floor without elevator. The staircase didn't smell good and the double bed was made of two single mattresses. The good pints were the cleanless of the room and toilet and warm water and the staffs. There was a deposit of 50 euros for the room.

Aston Hotel is urgently in need of renovation and better organizing of the facilities. They put the dirty laundry in the entrance, leave things like broom and mop also in the entrance, the carpet on the stairs is very old and dusty, there are a lot of cracks in the wall and the soda machine was not functioning during my 2 night stay in Amsterdam..

Very uncomfortable bed, no soap in the bathrooms, they charged me 25 euros more for taxes even though I had already paid everything for the app. I do not recommend it

Although the place was in a decent area with food and interesting things to do around. The hallways and entrance smelled terrible. Had to have the window open all day/night to air out the stench. The double bed was made up of two small twin beds, which made it uncomfortable to sleep in.

Hot wet misery
There was no ventilation whatsoever in the room. There was an AC unit that barely worked. To add to the problem, it just felt like heat was constantly being pumped into the room. The bathroom was a wet sopping mess because the shower would just be all over the floor. We were given two towels each that were literally threadbare with missing patches of fabric. There was no shampoo or conditioner given, which is one thing, however, there was not even hand soap for the toilet. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. But the location was nice. Very conveniently located near all of the metro and trams!
