After a 10hr flight with a child, I asked to check in early but was denied despite offering to pay any extra fees. I was told I needed to wait until the 3:00 check in time. I walked back up at 2:15pm and was once again refused to check in early. When I finally made it to the desk at 3:05 the line was extremely long and had to wait another 30 mins in line. The receptionist Giselle was pleasant and spoke English and Spanish. She was very sweet and helped us feel better after how tired my granddaughter and I were after sitting in the lobby for hours. Also, the restaurants do not open until 12pm and when they did finally open, the service was slow. There were no other places to eat at a walking distance from the hotel.

Not sure why they gave us a 4-bed apartment NEXT to the hotel when we booked a urban twin room? You need to check your room booking properly. Was our 2nd stay here. The first was wonderful inside the actual hotel but the this time, our stay was on a 1st level area. Very strange and dingy. Has kitchenette but was a significant downgrade from our initial stay. Room had complimentary water but no TV remote. When we entered the room the television was already on. The apartment felt more like a motel which was very disappointing as I was on my honeymoon.

We had to wait for the room to be cleaned despite coming later in the day, but reception was very nice and gave us vouchers to get a drink at the bar while we waited. The family rooms were very nice as we were traveling with our kids. The area around the hotel is not so great with an industrial feel and nowhere to eat except the hotel, but it is super close to Schipol and this is to be expected. The hotel buffet restaurant was very reasonably priced, and it included unlimited beer and wine for adults.

This hotel is amazing. Super close to the airport with a free shuttle every 20/30 minutes which makes it super convenient! The rooms were well maintained and the overall hotel is super nice. Shoutout to Aliyah at the front desk for being super helpful and welcoming to my family and I, we needed help with something and she went above and beyond to help us in any way she could, thank you Aliyah!

Good for an Airport layover

Reasonable location but chaotic check-in due to large shuttle bus delivering a lot of new guests at the same time. Gym Facilities good although pool closed despite it being within opening times. Room was ok, but basic but clean enough. Aircon was on all night though and the fan kept me awake, despite the control unit having “fan off” selected. Didn’t see much of the staff but receptionists and lady working in the spa/gym were polite and helpful.

The Urban does not offer accommodation as it is otherwise occupied, but they send you back to the main hotel and they try and find you a room in their hotel. The Urban does not have a reception either.
