Staff at Puffin is very helpful and efficient. One of the receptionists, Taz, was great. My room was in the older building section, on the 2nd floor; it was clean and mostly quiet (property is on a fairly busy street). There are some good dining options just across the street. Shuttle runs regularly. The Puffin Inn is located on bus routes that will take you downtown and to other tourist destinations. Breakfast was more that adequate but sometimes juice wasn't available. Overall the Puffin is a very good value for your money.

Due to storms in Seattle, plane delayed 4 hrs, didn't arrive till 4am . No airport 1 shuttle after 1am. Room booking had been cancelled and room unavailable. Told i couldn't book in till 3pm even though my 4 night booking was prepaid. Took 45mins for receptionist to organise a room. Hotel location is good if you don't have transport. Very basic hotel. Day staff lovely.

The Fancy Moose was a great restaurant within easy walking distance. The Car wAsh behind the Holiday Gas a few blocks away was Super convenient for rental car clean up.

Lobby was great -- the rest, not so much.
First room had no heat. Neither did the second, but they provided a plug-in space heater. Pretty sure the stains on the carpet in both rooms was pet urine. Bullet hole in lobby window. I would say it was a Roach Motel but the roaches probably had better accomodations.

The bathroom was dirty. The toilet was plugged and someone had to come to repair it. It did not seem like a good part of town. Those’re was a homeless man sleeping on the corner with his shopping cart.

The toilet wasn't cleaned. Bathroom door does not close all the way as well as the window. Old furniture, not maintained. The room price is usually good compare to other hotels near by the airport. Service shuttle is good. On time.

Was given tiny room in cavelike setting between laundry and electrical room. Bathroom sink next to the bed. Shower no tub. Asked to switch rooms. Told it was another 75 dollars. Room might have been 8 feet by 10 feet. And the 24 hour shuttle doesn’t run from 1 to 7 am. Not at all happy. Desk lady seemed to agree that room was poor. Oh and bare walls.

We loved the second room we were offered except the beds were somewhat uncomfortable. We appreciated the airport shuttle and were able to go the the air museum near the airport as well as the airport which helped us use up an otherwise empty day. When we first arrived, we were given one of the smaller rooms in an annex building--these were less expensive but not very desirable--smelled like smoke, small, front door was not tight to the frame so air was getting in, generator running at full speed. We paid extra to get a better room in the main building.
