Positives- free parking, bed very very comfortable, bedding smelt lovely, easy walking distance of Athlone, reception staff friendly and helpful, bath filled quickly and was hot Areas for improvement- bar food was dreadful, staff showed lack of awareness of allergies and intolerance, this also extended to the breakfast buffet with no allergens displayed, old food stuffed down the sides of the seats needed a clean

Good points. Grounds clean and welcoming. Great car parking . Stayed one night in room 301. Reception clean and welcoming, check in wtihout issue.Room was clean and well decorated, bed comfortable, TV had netflix Not so good. Room 301 looks over the back of the bar area with storage above for paperwork. Looks grubby and untidy. Bathroom was clean but shower difficult to control with hot water which got hotter by itself. Overall our stay was comfortable, would use this hotel again

The apartment was okay. The one thing I would recommend is that the dining and kitchen area be cleaned better. The furniture, such as the couch and chairs should be cleaned better or get leather ones which clean up much better. Also, the carpet could be cleaned. The bedroom and bathroom was fine.
