At Ocean Vista Cottage, you will have spectacular unobstructed water views and marvel at the beautiful sunsets and wonderful rock formations. This beautiful and dog-friendly home is nestled on a bluff overlooking the untamed Pacific Ocean. The walk to the beach will take just a minute or two - you will be sharing the beach with aquatic birds and occasionally a seal. Alternatively, curl up with a book in the living room while you relax by a warm fire.

Downtown Bandon is a short and convenient two and a half mile-drive and there you can find a plethora of dining options (seafood, pizza, Asian food, Mexican food, etc.), markets and convenience stores, and more! This charming city is also well-known for its historic lighthouse and the highly-acclaimed golf courses you can find at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort (eight miles away). You can find even more outdoor activities by the coastline that include horseback riding on the beach, fishing, crabbing, etc.

Perfect location, good home
If you’re ok staying at a place that is a little bit dated but very clean, with two bedrooms and one shared bathroom, then this place is an excellent choice. The beds were firm as other reviewers have said but not rock hard IMO. The location and views are stunning. Walk to the beach in just 2 minutes and that’s only because there isn’t direct access from the property itself. The house sits literally facing the ocean and beach with no obstructed views, really perfect for sunsets!

Location and view were wonderful. Beach access was great. Loved long walks in either direction. Easy drive just down the road to Bandon made dining & shopping fun. Property is dated and needs some love. So much potential! Bed was old & uncomfortable. Toilet was low enough for a daycare. Would go back with minor upgrades.

This is our second visit to this property. The location is unbeatable, the furnishings/kitchen are modest but very functional. It was nice to see the update if the new shower in the bathroom. Would definitely stay again!

Great views. Cabin comfortable but definite odor of old urine. Host was very responsive initially when told about the odor. Sent a message to a cleaner who called me next day, but when verifying the address- stated this was no way close to her. Messaged the host and ….crickets. Ended up buying carpet deodorizer and pet urine spray- better but carpet really needs to be torn out. The rest of the house was clean. Fireplace does not have good exhaust- so smoky even following their instructions had to leave the doors open

Wonderful home on the ocean
We love this little home on the ocean. The views were spectacular and all the amenities that were necessary were there. Our only complaint is that it was obvious it was a dog friendly place as one of the bedrooms smelled like urine. Otherwise, the view is picture perfect and it’s a centralized location to all the restaurants and old town. Would definitely return!

Perfect seaside location for you and your pups!
Can’t say enough good things about the Ocean Vista cottage! The view is spectacular and the walk to the beach is very short and easy for those with difficulty walking. The small fenced yard is perfect for potty breaks for dogs. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, cooking needs…far more so than most vacation rentals I’ve been to. We were very sad to leave after spending Christmas week at the cottage….even checked to see if it was available for another few nights!

Very enjoyable stay, surprised by the setup.
The overall rental was very clean and in a great location. Easy walk to a great beach, almost non-existent road noise, just close enough to town, and a great yard out front. The downside is that the yard is shared with a studio rental that is only separated from the cottage by a breezeway. We were lucky to have good co-guests, but less respectful ones would have nothing to keep them from hanging out in front of those large windows. If your looking for an intimate environment, you should be aware of that.

Fantastic view and great location! The living room is cute and has lovely windows. Sadly, the property is poorly maintained and managed. We spent the 1st 24 hrs unable to go anywhere as a family since the front door did not lock--we called 3 times to see what the ETA on a repair was and received no communication back. Minimally provisioned kitchen--salt, pepper, and a few old spices were the only staples provided. A towel bar fell off of the wall in the bathroom, the kitchen sink had a huge leak on our last day, and the faucet in the kitchen sink shifted every time it was touched. Both mattresses were really uncomfortable. There was dog fur under the couch and a mystery dusty sock behind a chair in one of the bedrooms. If the mattresses were replaced, we would stay again just for the view/location--hopefully all of the easily fixed issues have been repaired.

Beautiful Ocean Front View
If you want ocean front this is a great place to stay, the view is what you are paying for. The home and furnishings could use some tlc. Floors were newer but the house itself seemed a bit tired. Mismatched dishes and glassware, no dish soap was supplied which is an expectation, blue painters tape holding up contact paper in the bath. There is also a studio rental on this same property so there may and were people renting that.

Relax and unwind
This house is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Open room with big windows and the view surrounds you on all sides. It’s breathtaking when you first walk in. You can sit on the lawn and feel like you are sitting on the beach , or walk a couple blocks and you are on a beautiful stretch of semi-popular beach. If you time it right, early in the morning for instance, you will have this miraculous beach to yourself. Just down the road about a mile is a day use area called Devil’s Kitchen. It seemed less crowded and my dogs loved playing in the river and walking along the trail and dunes. The house has everything, nice pillows and linen. The bed and nice recliners were super comfy. The front room is cozy and easy to stare at the ocean and beach activity and just let your stresses melt away. This house was built to take advantage of the views and is comfortable and inviting. I hope to be back!
