If you’re the adventurous type and want the vib of a backpacker hotel in an area where real Thai people live…. Not a hyped up entertainment district filled with foreigners…. Then this is a great choice. It’s a 5 minute walk from the Thewet boat landing, so access is easy. There’s a real Thai covered market on the way, a Wat just 1:2 block away, and best of all the restaurant was lovely for every meal we had…. From fruit and muesli bowls, omelette s, pizza, Thai dinner dishes, smoothies…. Everything! AC and a fan is a must for a room which we had. Staff was friendly. This place deserves to be full all the time, just for its overall character. Just try it for a couple of nights!

Lovely accommodations. We stayed in the Fabulous Family Room for 4 with our 2 teen daughters and it was perfect. Tuk tuk always avalable and ferry an easy walk. Delicious restaurant! Great staff!

Great place with loads of character, helpful staff booked out onward night train for us and the food is great, only a short walk from the river ferries and tuk tuks are always outside if you need them.

Mixed experience. Downstairs space is pleasant and staff helpful enough, but the room is horrible. The toilet is in the room, with a low peer-over wall separating it from the bed, and a saloon-style swing door, so no privacy. Nobody shares a room unless they’re comfortable with the other person, but this takes the concept of no privacy to the extreme. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. On checkout, my food and drink bill seemed higher than expected. When I questioned it, it turned out they had added someone else’s bar bill to my account. They removed it, but only after I queried it. There didn’t seem to be any control over whose bar bills were added to which room. The hotel is next to a river-bus stop, but far from the metro.

Disclaimer: I did not interact too much with staff, used the in-house restaurant, or any of the other services such as laundry washing. I was mostly out and about, however my few interactions were very pleasant. Room was clean, had everything we needed (AC, comfortable beds, soap, shampoo, wastebin). Only downside is that it can be a bit far away from nightlife if thats what you're into, and a little over 10-15min away from nearest BTS station (Paya Thai and/or Ratchateiwi) depending on traffic, which is horrible in Bangkok. Otherwise, its an amazing stay, definitely recommend
