The place as a whole looks nice but the rooms need a bit of a refurb. The copper bath in the room needed re coating, the bath tap was leaking and the water was running all over the floor from underneath the bath. Soaked our bags. Bed surround had all limescale from the leaking tap. Musky damp smell in room. Found someone’s dirty socks behind the cushions on the sofa which shows not cleaned properly. There’s no safe in the room to lock valuables. We ordered breakfast only to find that toast is not included in the price of a full English. Such a shame, as it looks like a lovely place but needs some TLC. Seems to be run by youngsters and their attitude come across as a bit rude. As we went to check in, we went through the wrong door and were rudely told to go next door. Got to the correct door only to find we were standing behind a curtain and were called to come through. Check in was quick. Taken to our room but the explanation of amenities in the room was a bit rushed. It’s well overpriced for what you actually get. The food was a bit burnt and staff in the restaurant also come with a bit of an attitude. Such a shame. Won’t be going back.

Shower heads clogged with limescale, and water pressure too low to use the rain shower head.

Very unique and stunning decor. Extremely low lighting and little daylight - atmospheric but did need to ask for an extra lamp to be able to see.

Lovely welcome and great front of house team. Sadly that’s the only positive. I booked a snug room which I expected to be small but “snug” is a very generous term for the room I was allocated. The room was also filthy, the TV didn’t work and there were no hangers in the “wardrobe’. I was moved to another snug room which was even smaller than the first with restricted height. It was only possible to sleep on one side of the bed because of the leather clad sloping roof. Further, it had dangerous flooring i.e. there is a shallow step (trip hazard) to the weeny wet room that is not visible because it is the same colour as the rest of the flooring i.e. black. The wet room was dusty as the first room was but a super special touch was the toilet which was full of unflushed toilet paper! Again no hangers provided in the wardrobe. And to top off everything the rooms are not soundproofed! Even after I put my hearing aids on to charge I was very much aware of guests coming into the building and entering their rooms. I won’t mention what else I was hearing from the rooms next to mine but suffice to say I heard everything! I was so tired after being on the road for 8 hours I didn’t have the energy to complain about the second room. To charge over £230 for a room that is tiny, dirty and not soundproofed is a disgrace!

Parking was difficult with the Xmas market event, but the room was quirky and comfortable (although it was across a main road from the hotel building). Advertised as having a pool, which is outdoors and way too cold to consider using. But our main complaint was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities given the price we paid for the room.

Gordon Ramsay of hotels needs to sort this.
A lot of hype from the Las Vegas type flair. Front desk staff was decent, on par. Yet, for all that money, absolutely no value for what you pay. So much potential, but this place needs a Gordon Ramsay make over.

The stay was a shambles from start to finish. We arrived to a dirty room with marks and the bed and rose petals on the floor from the previous occupants. We notified reception immediately who advised while we were out at dinner they would have the room cleaned, which they did and offered a late check out as an apology which we accepted only to be charged for the late check out when we left. Then for dinner I have never been so insulted in my entire adult life with what you thought was acceptable to be served as a £40 steak which the table next to us also commented on that you should be ashamed of your self’s for thinking it is acceptable to be serving that I will attach a photo I will also be posting the pictures of the dirty room and the food on my trip advisor review. Completely shocked that you charge the prices you do and provide standards you would not receive in a weatherspoons. Sent from Outlook for iOS

Excellent place to stay and the presentation and options were fantastic. Loved the TV coming up from the bottom of the bed. However, when I told friends where I’d stayed and attempted to describe the red velvet wallpaper, dimly lit room with leather floors, gold tiled bathroom and leather studded bed & and animal prints, they called me a pervert!!. Still, I’d definitely come again, or should that be stay again.

Funky and interesting room. A little small due to age of building and “Cozy” status of the room. Room did smell like Marijuana for some reason. Slightly disappointed at lack of tea or coffee facilities in the room and reception didn’t mention ordering any to be brought to the room either.
