Second time staying at Hotel AMANO and it did not disappoint. Staff are great, beds are comfy, and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend staying there if youā€™re in Berlin!

Central location
The location was central near the main train station in Berlin. There were lots of restaurants/food stands and stores nearby. The rooms were clean and quiet, we were on the 5th floor and rarely heard any noise disturbance from the street other than the odd sirens.

Very convenient for transport options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Liked having an empty fridge in the room for our own use. We didn't use it but saw push bikes with hotel name on them so probably available to guests staying at the hotel. Minor inconvenience for us was lack of English tv channels except for sports and news channels.

I was a bit hesitant since a few reviews mentioned that rooms were not clean. But I took a shot and everything was neat when I arrived. The mini fridge in my room did not work but it was not a big deal for me since I was out in Berlin all the time. I would stay there again anytime.

Average hotel, there was dried paint in the sink which was a surprise. Bedsheets and pillows were very faintly dusty, which normally wouldnā€™t be a problem unless you have a sensitivity or allergies to dust. Otherwise, nothing special. Average hotel for a decent price which is very conveniently right across the Berlin HBF.
