I absolutely enjoyed my 2 days stay for my graduation ceremony at Buxton. The breakfast is so delicious and the staff were very kind and helpful. I will definitely come back for a weekend getaway😊

Beautiful hotel, right in the heart of Buxton which is a fantastic little town. Highly recommended, hard to fault the facilities, staff, room and location. The spa is one of the best I’ve ever visited, steeped in history and tastefully done. We’ll be back many times.

The hotel building itself was beautiful but the majority of the staff seemed to be in training and there were lots of small details that had been overlooked. Such as: The USB ports in the room didn’t work. The hotel info was only available on the TV and the font was too small to be able to read easily. Room service missed items from the order. There was a lack of signage in the spa making it difficult to find the various facilities. The hotel website was clearly written before the hotel opened and hasn’t been updated. There were no labels on the buffet for breakfast the first morning, meaning you had to guess what flavour yogurt, juice etc you were taking. Staff weren’t as polished as you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

We stayed for two nights and could not complain about anything. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and Knowledgeable about everything inside the Hotel and the wider local area. The Spa was a welcome bonus to our stay and if we had had more time we would have liked to have spent more time and possibly had a treatment or two. Rooms were clean and very well presented. with everything that the traveller needed for a stay. Breakfast catered for every taste and there would be no complaints about the variety or standard of the food from us. I could not compliment the Hotel and staff enough and hope to visit the establishment again.

After using the spa and getting back to the room with a pair of bodies full of the chlorine smell that you expect from a pool. There was no hot water for a shower. When I say no hot water, I mean no actual water coming out of any hot tap.

The Expedia listing needs to be clearer, we booked a Crescent room and incorrectly assumed it had a view of the crescent and area surrounding, to get the view you need to book the Crescent superior room. When asked the hotel explained but didn't suggest an upgrade, charged or free. Having said that the were many positives but some negatives for what is billed and priced as a 5* hotel. Beautiful building, great location, good staff particularily in the Restaurant, good food. The inclusive Spa is excellent, great facilities and environment. Very noisy room at the rear near a lift which interrupted our sleep, hotel must be aware, should be a room of last resort for guests. Put out a breakfast card at 11pm, still there next morning, hotel dealt with it well and didn't charge for breakfast. Staff levels seemed low for the grade of hotel. Its really a good 4*. Needs work to get to the advertised 5*.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I went with a friend & we had separate classic rooms & they were very comfortable & well looked after. I had a view of The Crescent. The spa facilities were absolutely amazing! Zoe was my masseur & was excellent. The hotel restaurant was faultless too. Staff were attentive & nothing was too much trouble. Toby in the bar was so customer focussed & had a good sense of humour & very efficient. The only negative was the inside of the wardrobe in my friend’s room was dusty. This didn’t distract from our lovely stay though.

We were truly delighted with our experience at Buxton Crescent. The hotel had called us a couple of weeks prior to our arrival and asked if we were coming for any special occasion. We told them it was for our 10th wedding anniversary. After we had checked in, we found that our room had been upgraded! It was such a nice surprise. The room itself was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We went down to the spa and it was lovely. All very clean and there were lots of towels available as well as plenty of cold water to drink. The spa facilities were varied and they're was plenty of space for everyone using it. We both had a massage treatment and each enjoyed it very much. The treatment rooms were clean, relaxing and smelt lovely and the couches were heated making them very relaxing indeed. When we got back to the room we had another surprise waiting for us - a chilled bottle of prosecco and glasses and a really nice handwritten card from the Ops manager wishing us a happy anniversary. It was a lovely touch. We continued using the spa until dinner. It never got overly busy so we really enjoyed relaxing there. Dinner itself was superb. Breakfast was also very good too in the morning. We had a lovely walk around Buxton - it's a beautiful town with lots going on. The hotel is located perfectly for exploring it. Overall we were really happy with our stay. It's a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. We will certainly be visiting again.

Lovely hotel and beautifully decorated. I didn't love the pillows and found it difficult to sleep because of that. Otherwise the room was really nice and treats for my bf birthday were a nice touch.
