Property was well kept up, staff was friendly. Food options were really great in the buffet. Try the seafood restaurant and the steakhouse. Entertainment at the pool was amazing. Construction was going on so it was a little difficult to navigate getting to my room but that's just temporary

beautiful is an understatement for this resort.. everything was amazing! the food was great, staff were very helpful and there is sooo many things to do! will recommend to everyone who wants to visit mexico.

We booked the presidential one bedroom suite with rooftop pool. When we arrived the pool was dirty and the jets didn’t work. The refrigerator, microwave and wine chiller also did not work. Our jacuzzi tub worked however once the jets were turned on some brown rust residue came out all inside of the tub! We were not happy as we were here to celebrate a birthday. The pillowcases had paint like stains on them, a lawn chair on the rooftop was broken….things started out as a disaster! Our butler was Jesus Torres. He was awesome! He took all of our issues seriously and worked to get things corrected. Everything was fixed except the wine chiller and the jets in the rooftop pool. If it wasn’t for Jesus, our vacation would’ve been completely ruined. While the resort needs some upgrading, the food was decent. Best restaurant was armadillo. Service was good overall but Royalton needs to do better with this property’s upkeep as well as room amenities. Shout out to Hugo the pool/cabana attendant. He took care of us and made sure we had a nice spot at the pool everyday of our stay.

The property is very dated. The HydroSpa was freezing cold and the heat did not work. Floors were dirty. Jacuzzi tub did not work. We were charged for excursions that we did not authorize. It is a major timeshare property and kept trying to sell us even though we told them no several times.

WiFi not working, not an adults only, phones wouldn’t work half the time, room service took at least 45 minutes, restaurants and diamond lounge was too hot. They also charged me twice for the stay

Look for a different resort!!!
This was a horrible experience. I was part of a wedding party. The resort canceled the dinner reservations at the steakhouse the day before the wedding, then attempted to sit us outside at the Italian restaurant in the middle of a storm. The check in process was horrible. I couldn’t get access to my room until 11:30pm. The food was average at best. I would highly recommend to find any other property to enjoy a vacation.

The biggest positive about the resort are it's restaurant's and it's staff. The amount of restaurants and food is served was excellent. The restaurant staff were great for being so polite, friendly and having an excellent sense of humor. Few minor place of concern would be conditions and facilities. Upon arrival some of the curtains and sheets had a few minor stains. Thankfully they were replaced by room service the next day. There were sometimes the pool water had too much debris floating around in it. Or there were clearly people's sun screen floating on top of the pool water. Clearly there are signs of improvement, hence all the construction and some places closed during our visit. My biggest concern was the check in on the first day. We arrived around 4PM and was brought to a desk waited 1 hour to find out we were brought to the wrong desk. Then had to wait another hour to check in at the hideaway lounge. After an unacceptable wait period for a check in, we finally got to our room and had to waited another 1 hour for our luggage before we eventually got fed up and picked up our luggage from the lobby ourselves. By the time we were able to actually enjoy the resort it was already 7PM. Our friends who were at the resort were (hideaway) checked in way faster than us were at the restaurant waiting for us. This is clearly a huge logistical and managerial fault that I hope gets resolved and I hope nobody ever has to go through.
