Very good, Resturants need to focus on keeping and delivering food hot and at proper food safety temperatures, this was a constant issue. Being that food service was a past profession of mine I had an eye and nose for thingsā€¦.. Buffet was on point for being a buffet. Zen was no good to much to tellā€¦. my butler Alfredo very professional, honest and prompt when he said he would do something he did along with texting me daily updates of resort to doā€™s. Drinks could be more consistent but if you want that frequent a good bartender when you find one. Excursion times are exaggerated expect them all to be 2-4 hours longer with transport etcā€¦ Expedia dropped the ball on the Xcaret excursion they didnā€™t contact the transport and tell them we were supposed to be on this excursion luckily I had my paperwork in order, also not explaining the grounds properly we were not prepared and we had to return to resort early and miss half the day along Definitely a tourist trap $$$ Booked another excursion for isla mujeres this time at the resort said it was 6 hours but ended up being 9 not a problem no delays but would be nice to know so I could pack and plan bring proper funds etcā€¦ Told us pick up was 740am wrote it on receipt show up and they said 840amā€¦. Not an issue just made the start of our day a little hectic for no logical reason. Beach could use a lot more attention but the best it can be for the sargassum floating in. Definitely has the potential to be a 5* resort

First and foremost, this was not luxury a hotel . A hotel that does not offer high-end beverages with the amount of money that is paid per night is ridiculous. Not only include Redbulls no type of good liquor. The service was very mediocre. My sheets were not changed. They were filthy I had to call housekeeping and explained to them that the bed was made however, the sheets were never changed. The bathtub was spilling water everywhere. It was never It wasnā€™t working properly. I have traveled too many high-end luxury hotels, and I never encountered any type of issues. I even think they had bedbugs on my face and my arms. I highly demand either a refund or a new stay for free.

My overall stay was terrible. My key card for the room door never worked because the door was broken. I had to complain to the receptionist the entire stay. My bathroom flooded the first night. Staff would not accommodate me another room due to the issues. I had the worst vacation experiences ever. Truly unsatisfied.

As soon as arrived it was not perfect, the rooms we ordered we did not get. All of the restaurants are booked every single day on the app imposible to get reservations. Best person there hostess at dorado, if it wasnā€™t for her we wouldnā€™t have eaten dinner. You have to complain to get to eat at an All-Inclusive. It was not busy very chill, ehh it wasnā€™t that good thatā€™s why itā€™s so cheap. If youā€™re coming here for the adults only, you get a little section, rest of the spot is full family which isnā€™t the worst thing in the world, just all inclusive side is small. Very sub par, much better places in Cun

Property was well kept up, staff was friendly. Food options were really great in the buffet. Try the seafood restaurant and the steakhouse. Entertainment at the pool was amazing. Construction was going on so it was a little difficult to navigate getting to my room but that's just temporary

We booked the presidential one bedroom suite with rooftop pool. When we arrived the pool was dirty and the jets didnā€™t work. The refrigerator, microwave and wine chiller also did not work. Our jacuzzi tub worked however once the jets were turned on some brown rust residue came out all inside of the tub! We were not happy as we were here to celebrate a birthday. The pillowcases had paint like stains on them, a lawn chair on the rooftop was brokenā€¦.things started out as a disaster! Our butler was Jesus Torres. He was awesome! He took all of our issues seriously and worked to get things corrected. Everything was fixed except the wine chiller and the jets in the rooftop pool. If it wasnā€™t for Jesus, our vacation wouldā€™ve been completely ruined. While the resort needs some upgrading, the food was decent. Best restaurant was armadillo. Service was good overall but Royalton needs to do better with this propertyā€™s upkeep as well as room amenities. Shout out to Hugo the pool/cabana attendant. He took care of us and made sure we had a nice spot at the pool everyday of our stay.

The property is very dated. The HydroSpa was freezing cold and the heat did not work. Floors were dirty. Jacuzzi tub did not work. We were charged for excursions that we did not authorize. It is a major timeshare property and kept trying to sell us even though we told them no several times.
