We liked the infrastructure and friendliness of the staff. The food was really good too. However the location is secluded and getting in and out is a hassle. There’s not very good phone signal (for data) at the hotel. They only give you 2 WiFi passcodes, and there is an extra charge to have a third one.

Everything was great except we were not able to book at any of the restaurants and we tried to book since we got there. We were able to get in to French restaurant without reservation thanks to the manager Pedro. He was very kind to get us in. Alejandro was nice too. Everyone was very polite and friendly. Very nice people. We had a great experience.

Everything was great except for 1 thing, every restaurant was always booked. It doesn’t make sense to pay for all inclusive, and then to be told we cannot eat at those restaurants without reservation. We tried to reserve in advance, but the restaurants were always booked, maybe have a system that guarantees a reservation to the restaurants that you want when you book. We liked the cleanliness and kindness/hospitality of the staff, especially Pedro/alejandro of the French restaurant, and Paulo the cart driver who was very polite. We had a great time.

Food was very good and there are many options! People working there are very friendly and nice. The private beach was smaller than expected and there were a lot of Sargassum. The water was not as turquoise as I remembered. It was sad but not their fault. The most disappointing thing was that concierge at check-in desk was too busy with trying to put us a time share presentation and forgot to give us information about necessity of reservation of the dining options, wifi password, event/program information, etc... We lost opportunities of eating at restaurants because we did not know that we needed to make a reservation prior. We cannot believe that they still invite timeshare presentations relentlessly (we experienced this in Cancun long time ago). They no longer call it timeshare though. It was pretty annoying and wasting our time.

Jorge from French restaurant made our last dinner experience terrible. The entire stay was not the best from beginning to end! I do not recommend staying!all they care about is adding more and more to your stay! So sad this Mexico! Never again

Not very handy cap friendly to the lobby at marina el cid. No elevator to the main lobby. If it rains it’s terrible because the golf carts they use to transport people around are horrible and no priority for handy cap people.
