The service from the front desk to servers were poor, especially the front office. They acted like you were bothering them. They are too cheap to give you a Map of the resort. They don't have activities for kids or the pool area. If you have teens they just have a dj at night. The photos online are the new building, if you get el cid, there were hug roaches in room.

Beautiful grounds and pools. Loved the variety of restaurants and atmosphere. Amazing service, friendly staff, golf carts to take you around the property, clean and beautiful grounds.., overall great experience. Not the most exciting entertainment. No outside music and shows that is interesting, bright colored and fun. Negative is the playing with heavy volleyballs in the pool where there are children and adults get pretty careless with throwing heavy balls around. I feel it’s unnecessary and unsafe. Pools are for swimming as people go there to relax.

We recently flew to Cancun and had a wonderful stay at the El CID resort. As the tag line goes, pay for 1 but enjoy the benefits of 3 resorts within EL CID. We stayed at the Marina at El CID which is older compared to the Ventus but I am really flattered with the customer service and have only good things to say. For those who travel with young kids or elderly, this is the best place. My mom was on a wheel chair but had no problem accessing around the resort. The staff at EL CID are great and very courteous. They are all super nice and provide the same care for those really tip or who doesn't. The swim up bar is a great plus. As we enjoy the time at the pool, it is so nice to grab a drink and soak in the hot sun at the pool. I am very satisfied and will definitely return.

In general great resort.stuff is amazing and pools and dining is really great. The beach is disappointing- nothing like it should be. AC base was in the room and we need to get to used to the sound. Go there! Really nice additional activities like trips and dolphins ate just next to it

This is my second time coming to this resort. I was sick for the majority of my trip and was grateful that they have a kids club. Actually, their kids club is probably the best out of all of the resorts I’ve stayed at (including a diamond resort). 10/10 and will definitely be back!

The property doesn’t have appropriate beaches. They are unsafe and dirty. Nobody spends time on the beach. My children found a condom near the beach lounger. I injured my toe by rock while entering the ocean. The ocean floor is too rocky and unpleasant!!! We have our room cleaned just 4 times in 7 days! They did not provide a free WiFi service for 3 of us, because it is limited! Instead of two queen bedroom they gave us a room with one queen and one murfee beds, and they called this room as a “Luxury Room”. This Hotel Marina El CID Spa & Beach Resort is sucks!

I liked that for the stay you were able to enjoy all 3 properties. Each were unique. However the biggest issue I had was the lack of a beach that was presented in pictures. The beach was not serene at all and there was a smell from the marina that was overpowering. Tons of rocks in the water.

This was my fourth trip to Hotel Marina El Cid and it did not disappoint! The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly and hospitable. They really go above and beyond. We had a great time and are looking forward to returning!

It was situated to a lot of tourist attractions that I found quite rewarding. This is the second time I’ve been to this hotel and my experience was nothing short of commendable. I still believe this hotel needs to work on a bit of staff selection at the front desk.

Resort staff was amazing and options to eat was great. We enjoyed different pools and a beautiful beach close by the hotel (walking). I wish the hotel beach was better and I appreciate the workers cleaning it every single day. You can walk to Delphinus to swim with the Dolphins. Definitely was a great experience.

Eli at registration made our checking in 3 reservations a breeze and was accommodating when we requested to change one of the room because of the smell coming from the swamp. They need to clean the pond because it gives a bad stench in the room and when we walk alongside it. The staff and the pool were great, but the food was okay. Room service food and buffet food was okay. Our biggest complaint is the inability to reserve our dinner. For dinner we are limited to the one buffet restaurant that they have and room service. It doesn't make any sense, having 7 restaurants and no availability. There were 17 of use with 6 room reservations and even though we split it up, we still weren't able to get a reservation. The only ones they have is either waaaaay too early or waaaaay too late. I highly suggest calling in three weeks in advance to make a reservation at Kobo. You are able to make one reservation before check in. For some reason, there were no reservations available the next two weeks for it.

Liked that it has everything close by like the marina & the other sister resort is walkable. The entertainments every night was a bonus. Had a great time with my family at Marina El Cid.
