Had a heart attack and was hospitalized the day before check in. I had to cancel my trip and they will not refund me. Would not recommend this hotel due to the terrible customer service

Got bit over 40 times the first 2 nights until they switched our room. Told them it might be bed bugs because the bites only happened after I woke up those 2 days, they told me that it’s not that and that doesn’t happen in their hotel. No apology no upgrade, nothing. Rooms are not 5 star rooms. No room service. Mirrors, TV, and dressers dirty, reeked of paint or chemicals when we walked in. Sheets were stained in both rooms. Food is alright. Only really nice thing is the view and beach and the staff is nice. Very overhyped in my opinion, pretty disappointing.

This is my second time staying at RIU resort. Very family oriented, many activities that are fun to do at the resort, non judgment environment, and employees are very welcoming! Highly recommended this resort.

This property, is outdated, the mirrors are stained, the air conditioning in the rooms aren’t very cold, I had to change my room key several times because it just stop working out of the blue, the elevator stopped working. The shower was clogged. However, the staff are friendly and professional. The property itself needs a revamp.

We arrived early and were greeted by the staff in a very friendly manner. Service was excellent. At first, the Ac in the room was not working, and they sent a technician right away to fixed the issue. The rooms are a little outdated but the excellent service of the staff more than makes up for it.

We stayed for a week...had an outlet by the bed that tripped the main breaker for the room anytime you plugged anything into it...maintenance came up, couldnt fix it, said they would come back the next day...never did. The elevators were out of order for the last 3 days of our stay (we were on the 4th floor)...on a positive note, the staff is incredible! They were all very attentive, made an effort to remember our names and what we drank. The food as a whole was just OK, nothing spectacular...even the specialty restaurants. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Pool and beach are the best part!! the food was not that great and they should update the rooms and bedding overall it was a decent stay but have stayed in much nicer for less in Cancun.

Overall not bad, they gave us a very bad room in the begining but they upgraded us to junior suite as a compensation. Food is slightly repititve and activities too but overall not bad.
