Old house charm for people not in a hurry
We stopped for one night with our two teenagers on our way back home. We stayed in “Molly’s Garden”, a spacious room with 2 comfortable queen-sized beds at the top of the staircase. The in-room AC unit pumped hot air on the teenagers bed on and off all night long and had trouble warming up the room. However it was still a comfortable stay overall. We did have communication issues with the host who emailed us 3 min before breakfast time to ask us if we wanted breakfast when they knew we were in a hurry to get back on the road. Not to mention we couldn’t respond because the reply button linked only to generic FAQs on Hotels.com.

The beds were super comfy. The bathroom was beautiful and the common area was overused by us. We loved the common area and made ourselves at home. It was stocked with what we needed, wine glasses, cork screws and utensils. all in all it was a homey and cozy experience.

What a lucky find.
What a lucky find!! Ran out of steam driving home from Boston and lucked into this great little place in a great little town. Paul was a great greeter (and makes a killer quiche!!) and his mom was a joy to meet the next morning. Will definitely go out of our way to stay there again!

As always, the accomodations were beautiful and spotlessly clean. Parking is free and easy. Anything you need to pick up is nearby. There are plenty of dining options. The owners take food allergies very seriously and are willing to make last minute changes if there are any misunderstandings.

Stay at the Carlisle House!
I attended for an event at Dickinson College. The location is terrific and within easy walking distance of downtown Carlisle. The room was very clean, well kept, and quiet. The room was also stocked with anything one might want or need, including soap, lotion, towels, bathrobes, and coffeemaker. The space was appropriate and unique. Parking was convenient and plentiful. My workshop coordinator fed me so I did not have the opportunity to eat. I would definitely return to the Carlisle House.
