The rooms were pretty filthy, getting a room key was problematic as you go to the bar and depending on how the wait staff feels. Ended up finding a nice airbnb and left the room a few days early eating the cost of the room.

Shower was either scalding hot or ice cold! Made a reservation for a room with two dbl beds. Paid for it. On arrival was told none were available. My reservation confirmation said otherwise. We were able to compromise and stayed in separate rooms. You need to visit your properties!

Paid about $80. Probably the worst motel experience I have ever had. The room was dirty. I bent down to plug in a device and the vinyl floor under the bed looked like it had never been cleaned
ever. No soap/shampoo etc and the luke warm water from the shower nozzle barely flowed. The toilet had a leak so it ran 24/7 and the cold water in the sink was turned off. I turned it on at the valve and then realized it’s because the sink would constantly run. The towels were dirty and the bath mat looked like someone walked on it with dirty boots. The power went out for about 2 hours (not the motels fault). I’m not a tech novice but I couldn’t get the tv to work and it had no instructions whatsoever with the two remotes. I’ve stayed in a lot of roadside motels but this by far was the worst as far as cleanliness and cost vs value. Fortunately the roadhouse restaurant had decent food and drink. I’d stay somewhere else. I never write reviews for motels but had to do this one. Maybe the owners will read and make some changes and do some general maintenance at some point.

the 2 women in the next room fought inside and outside the door till 2 am in morning. I found garbage extra underneath my motorcycle that had spilled out of their truck parked next to it. didn't get much sleep

We were awaking by 2 people shouting and slamming doors from midnight and went on until after 330 am right next door to us. I got up to ask them to please be considerate, one if them told me the other was drunk and would be leaving. After more shouting abd slamming around they finally shut up. In the morning i observed them getting in a commercial vehicle. The facility is nice and clean but having no one to taje care of an all night disturbance was a little rough

Challis Roadhouse Disappointment
Highly suggest taking this Motel off your list of options. There was on signage where to check in. Went to the adjoining restaurant to check in. The Bartender Kris, was great. He was probably the only good thing about this Challis Roadhouse. We were with another couple. The food we ordered from Kris was good and he was very attentive to the 4 of us. The rooms were just ok. Very old and smelly. Water pressure in shower was minimal. We went back to the restaurant for dinner the next day. That had a band, therefore they were charging a $5 cover charge. Not a big deal. We found a table sat down and was there for a good 10 minutes. There was a waitress that was going to all tables around us, but didn’t stop. Was it because we weren’t locals? Who knows. One of us went and ordered our drinks at the bar. Finally, the one waitress stopped to ask if we needed food
 if so they were sold out of everything but hamburgers, hot wings and chicken strips. She said she would come back but didn’t. Kris walked by, and we told him we just wanted 4 burgers, make it easy for them. Ordered another round of beers and they came in Red Solos cups. WTH! Fine, whatever. The owners were there partying it up with friends and locals and were Bustling a few tables, my husband and one of our friends got up to help them. Not a thank you, nothing. We got our food. 2 of the burgers were burnt, and all of our fries were oil soaked. We left. About 30 minutes later the owner was on the side, motel side peeing.

It was a Friday night with lots of local events, music, a busy bar, and friendly people. However, the motel room needed attention. No wifi, the TV did not work, the light over the bed was burned out, and the sink dirty. The hotel manager was overwhelmed running the bar, and we didn't complain or worry too much. But it wasn't a well maintained facility.

Won’t stay there again.
Room smelled bad like cigarettes bathroom window was open and would not lock there weren’t any chairs in the room could hear the neighbors talking throughout the night couldn’t watch tv because the hdmi cable was missing the lady at the front desk said it happens all the time.

Older motel but the bed was comfortable the water was hot the pressure was great. Chris at check-in was very friendly. TV didn’t work properly but Chris tried to fix it. It was late so it ended up being ok to not have television. We appreciate the pet friendly aspect. The bar/restaurant was lovely. The remodel is beautiful.
