We had high expectations for this lodging, because it was a bit pricey compared to other hotels. This was the 6th hotel in our 3rd country on a 4 week holiday. We were a family of six and had to book 2 rooms, pay for an "extra bed", and pay an "extra person charge", each room. We have been required to do this in other hotels and we were familiar with the terms and charges
Pros: -The facilities are rather new (1-2 years old)
Cons:
-Sometimes the bathroom was not cleaned
-Located in a less developed area: you have to call a red truck, or tuk-tuk each time you want to leave, and its hard to find for tuk-tuks and red-trucks to bring you back
-Paid extra bed fees, and we received a 2" thick fold out mattress in each room. Other hotels provided an actual extra bed
-Paid the extra person fees, but did not ever actually receive the full benefits of the extra person fee. After the second day, we just requested more bottled water, more toilet paper, more soap and more shampoo, as needed. If someone pays an extra person fee, then logically the room should be provided with additional supplies
-When I tried to rent a scooter through the hotel, the scooter company did not have a helmet to fit my large "American" head. The hotel owner's response was, "Wow, that is a personal problem!" - a proper response would have been, "the scooter company should invest in larger helmets for some tourists"
Summary: This hotel/residence lacks hospitality and will milk you.
