Poor condition - Dirty!
I travel to Sedalia each year for a livestock show and have stayed at the Motel 6 in the past. It used to be a decent hotel but this stay was not good. The lobby and entry stairs were filthy. When we got in our room, it was REALLY dirty with holes in the walls. I went into the bathroom and there was a bar of soap left in the shower from the previous guest. The staff did get me another room that was clean but it had a hole in the wall as well. I will not stay at the Motel 6 Sedalia again.

Cleanliness: toilet in room not cleaned, looks like floor wasn’t vacuumed, hairball in shower, what few towels there were stained (only 3 pieces, wash rag, shower towel & shower foot mat, no hand towels). Stairs had old chicken bones on them from someone’s dropped trash & old Q tips. No sign of any breakfast, snacks, coffee, juice or ?

When we got to our room the main light fixtures were burned out. The toilet lid came off and hit the ground. The shower was not cleaned and still had a used bar of soap in the shower. There was no coffee or coffee maker in the room. The only thing offered in the restroom was bar soap.

If you get a bad room, ask for another
The one positive of our stay was courteous front desk staff! The 1st room they put us in smelled terribly of cigarette smoke, had holes in the wall.... We asked if a different non-smoking room was available, and they moved us to one with working A/c, no smell, slip covers on the beds.... It was almost like a completely different motel in comparison! Was not somewhere we'd stay again, but made for an ok, cheaper night.

Very disappointed
We stayed here a year ago & no problems so we came back. The staff was fantastic both visits! We were disappointed in our stay this time though. First, our toilet was clogged when we first went into our room. Then the beds were hard like box mattresses. There were a few bugs too.

Booked 2 queen beds, got a single king instead. So I paid more money for the double bed and didn’t receive the difference in a refund. Motel 6 in Sedalia Missouri is a joke. They can turn their lights off in this location for sure

The staff here is AMAZING!! It is family ran and operated and they take pride in their business. The building is a little older but they are doing their best to keep things updated and refurbished. Would definitely stay here again!!

Check-in/check-out was easy; counter person was very pleasant and helpful. A few drawbacks were the TV constantly flickered pixels, but I didn't mention it to the front desk. The bathtub took a half hour to drain after a shower. I was running solo so not an issue, but if someone else wanted to jump in the shower, would've had to wait. I had never been in a facility where the toilet didn't have a lid on it (other than an outhouse). Was shocked by that. Was disappointed that there wasn't a bible in my room. Asked the front desk if they had any up there and was told no.

Room was gross. Bedding wasnt changed, side tanles still had spills, nasty dryed stuff down bed frame, tub had mold, sink mirror was full of tooth brush splatters, heater didnt work and knobs just spun, trash on floor. Room was smoke free and smelled strong of smoke, bathroom door also had a hole in it. Hallway was full on trash. I requested a refund in which they have still yet to give me.
