What a lovely four-star hotel at a two/three-star price. 50 steps from Colmar Railway station, and about 15 minutes walk from Little Venice and Vieux Colmar. Big comfortsble rooms and beds, fantastic breakfast buffet, and good service.

When we reserved this place I was a little hesitant about its location, I thought it wasnā€™t going to be quiet or safe but I was wrong. The train station is small and historic, the area is quiet and safe. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the old town if you donā€™t want to walk. The shuttle stop is less than a block from the hotel. Our room was big, the shower too! The bed was super comfortable. We didnā€™t eat or have breakfast at the hotel. We took tours from Colmar to other towns and also took the train for a day trip to Strasbourg.

Stayed for 2 nights on way back to Eurotunnel. Price represented good value. Hotel is 15 mins from centre of Colmar, which is a very pretty place to visit. Hotel staff were great, pet friendly, good private parking etc. Only downside is that the hotel, and especially the rooms are desperately in need of refurbishment. Old decor, old furniture, bathrooms etc. However - everything was very clean.

Decent hotel and good location
Nice enough hotel, right next to the station. Short taxi ride to Expo Colmar, where we were attending a concert. Decent hotel, ideal for our overnight stay.

The air conditioner did not work and reported it at the front desk and no one solved the problem. I ask for sugar for coffee at dinner and breakfast and the said the have none at the restaurant. Terrible and dirty place I have pictures.

There weren't any restaurants, or shopping near the hotel. Your choices were either walking to old town or the train station. Not good for walking alone at night. I also felt rushed at breakfast. I went to the washroom, and when I returned, they had taken away my breakfast and reset the table.

The Grand Bristol Hotel in Colmar is under renovation. Service is terrible, air conditioning is not working. The cleaning people forget to clean your room ??? There was one day raining for several hours and in the 4th floor there was several leaks of water coming down, the people of the hotel needed to put buckets to stop the spread of water in the 4th floor. I will call Expedia for a partial refund on my stay in this hotel. Everything in the hotel is old. The could not put a new box of Kleenex box in the room for 24 hours. Terrible stay.

Hotel is currently being renovated outside but do not be put off. nice restaurant and hotel is just opposite the station. evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Room was a good size. 15-20 minutes walk into the old town.
