Close to MO state capital and downtown. The room we were placed in initially had no air. Front desk said that we “needed to wait to have maintenance take a look”. We insisted on changing rooms and did get a new room. Why didn’t front desk offer that immediately? Poor customer service. The breakfast buffet was poor. Scrambled eggs with zero flavor. The coffee was great. For 15.00, it was not worth the money. Wait staff were exceptionally kind and professional.

Avoid this hotel. Is misrepresented online.
The hotel is very dated and looks nothing like the pictures. It smells very musty and the aroma of cigarettes and marijuana lingers throughout the lobby, elevators and hallways. This is supposed to be 100% non-smoking, however my experience is that this is not enforced. Being asthmatic this is something that is very important to me. The first room we were given smelt so bad, it was nauseous..there were also 2 large fans in there and no a/c. We were moved to another room, but this room should never have been offered! Things continued to get worse when my 6 year old daughter found a lighter and marijuana in our room just sitting on the floor next to the chair! The rooms are obviously not cleaned properly. See below for the picture... Next, they charged the deposit 4 times. I did have 2 rooms for 1 night, but was charged 2 times in check-in and again 2 times on check-out. When I called the hotel to ask why I was charged after check out I was yelled at and hung up on.. it was very bizarre. I have since disputed these additional charges. A simple explanation or apology would have been nice, but telling and hanging up was unprofessional. Long story short, I would never advise anyone to stay here. It's very rundown, musty, the staff are rude and not very helpful.

Overall, the hotel is a bit outdated. There were a couple of issues that I encountered, however, Julie was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were comfortable on our trip. She is the epitome of what customer should look like!

Room was not clean, no hot water, no water pressure, tv color faded in and out and found dirty socks and evidence of needle use in the room. Never got to talk with a manager. That will be my last time there and I hope for any of my friends and family too. Worst place I have ever stayed in. Wouldn’t post this but only way I can maybe get something done.

The first room we were given had a leaking ceiling. The second room was infested with fleas. We entered the room long enough to turn the lights on but our legs were covered with fleas by before we saw what was happening. Horrific experience. Stay away.

Thru Expedia I purchased breakfast for 25 and was told in the dining area that there was one option: which was two eggs, bacon OR sausage, fried potatoes and juice. Spoke with both the hotel staff and Expedia and neither took responsibility. On the second day they offered the buffet for $15. Total ripoff. No room refrigerators, staff was useless. Be warned. Way past its prime.

Most everything was good. Clean sheets and bathroom. A/C worked great. Bathroom just needed some maintenance. Ceiling texture was separating and falling from sheet rock due to moisture and mold. Staff were very friendly.
