I lived staying in this historic hotel in downtown Denver. Greeted by the most friendly bellman. As soon as I arrived and spoke with the bellman he told me there was no free parking. The fee for anywhere in the local vicinity was $50/day. I wasn’t happy with that as it was adding another $150 to my trip. It wasn’t the hotels fault but the lack there of was a concern for me. Also, I’m supposedly a VIP with Hotels.com but my room looked out to a brick wall. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. I’m a huge water drinker so it was quite inconvenient. The night before I left a kind bartender told me of the water fountain next to the front desk that had water and carbonated water. It came out cold but didn’t stay that way for long in 97 degree days.
The hotel and its staff are amazing and brings you back in time a bit. The location was perfect for my Ball Arena concert.
The restaurant and bar attached to the hotel was excellent but extremely expensive. The bar staff were excellent and so friendly. I’d probably would stay again if I had business or events in the downtown Denver area.
