Searched many hotels for a few weeks before choosing this one. I was advised it was a nice place but one of the older hotels. Due to price and location I decided to take the chance. I can say with confidence that it was the perfect choice. On arrival the porters were really friendly, which should be expected, but my initial impression of the front desk was professional but a bit cold (maybe she was having a bad morning). For me one person doesn’t represent all the staff. Rooms - The room was clean, a tiny bit of dust behind the TV, but that was it. Had an ocean view room which provided a nice view of the Dubai Eye and junction of the beach and The Walk. It had all the necessary amenities other than an iron. There are a nice choice of onsite restaurants. We only used one for breakfast which had a great selection including vegetarian options. The matradee who I believe is named Hussain, actually took me to meet one of the chefs when I asked about the vegetarian options the evening before. I thought this was an excellent customers service. He was there the next morning and came over to greet me and my family and showed us the vegetarian options for that morning. He also remembered that I required a specific non-dairy milk option for my child. In regard to other restaurant staff I would like to mention Koe and Osama. I would say they a credit to the staff that work in the restaurant. Every morning they would great us with a smile on their face, remember our prefe

The place was not good when we arrived. The room were old and that electricity kept cutting off, but the man were amazing and they upgraded us to much better floor. The rest of the hotel is great. The location is fabulous and we had a great time.

Whilst it’s considered five star probably is a really nice three star. Rooms are not the most comfortable but a little dated. Think if you’re wanting full buffet half board etc then I’d recommend this place. Luxury no. That aside the staff here are very well trained professional polite and on the ball. Credit to where it is due

Great hotel with excellent service. Breakfast was wonderful with a great selection of food. Lovely views from the balcony. Comfortable bed and pillows. Hotel seems a little older so bathrooms seem a little tired but otherwise great value for mooney. I will stay here again.

Nice hotel, shame about the pool.
The hotel was in a good position, but extremely busy traffic just outside. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. The bedroom was very spacious and the housekeeping was excellent. The downside to the hotel was the pool area. Most of the sun beds were never in the sun and the pool was only in the sun for about 90 mins to 2 hours in the day due to the building next door shading the area. It was a shame and for this reason we would not visit again.

Location wise it’s good if you’re not planning to take a taxi anywhere else. Roads were always so busy and sat in long queues of traffic to reach hotel every evening. Balcony door was so stiff, VERY difficult to open. Room was nice, bed was comfy. Staff not great, had to make requests multiple times to receive items (such as water and extra coffee, and they only bought decaf) Enquired about breakfast but all 3 people on reception didn’t know the answer. Also be careful when ordering taxis, the hotel quoted us a crazy price and insisted this was best price due to heavy traffic but we ordered through an app for waaaay cheaper. Overall it’s ok. Not what I would call 5*, a little run down and not great staff.

Stayed at the JA Ocean View for a family holiday in October. Location in the JBR area was great. Room was a good size with balcony overlooking the beach. Would stay again when visiting DXB.

Had an amazing stay at JA Ocean View, All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my sons birthday during our stay and they upgraded our room and left him a nice cake on his birthday. I loved the location along the main walk on JBR, food outlets and the beach at your doorstep.

The hotel is located in the best area for tourists. Furniture and set up is a little bit aged...so Price/quality ratio is not so winning.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly. Housekeeping excellent, water in room replaced daily. Would definitely return.
