Taj is our go to hotel anytime we are travelling to India and visiting Dubai for the first we choose Taj because of how it has treated us in the past. This stay here was subpar. We have had the experience of Taj going above and beyond, top professional and friendly staff and overall great facilities. This Taj did disappoint. The first day because of the meetings woke up late arrived to the breakfast 2 mins to closing and I was told no, anything I order will be charged to the room. The second day I realized I did not miss anything as the breakfast was horrible. I did ask for the least spiciest of food and I was given the most spicy. The breakfast is just fruits and meat, there is some Indian food but it is on rotation and not great tasting. I drank 2 masala chais and left. The staff is super busy doing nothing overall, the concierge was great though. He helped us navigate the city beautifully, arranged a car and made sure the driver knew the route and plan. I was told by the driver there are better hotels around and would be choosing that next. The room was not made even after 4 in the afternoon, the guy came and did it on request and did not bother to put away the iron stand etc. The rooms are pretty big though but there is a lot of sports car noise in the late night and the fan in the room is too far away to block those noise. The upselling that happened at the concierge was also weird even I told them I was late to meeting. Overall not a Taj experience I hoped it would be.

Staff was amazing they extended our stay for a couple hours free of charge because our flight was later in the day , they extended it from a 12pm -to 7pm check out , They have a free shuttle for service that will take you to the Dubai mall I will say the outdoor pool isn’t the greatest , it’s not every very big , it is surrounded by alot of buildings so you kind of miss out on sunshine as well as the view from the pool isn’t the best eaither because of surrounding buildings

We only stayed one night in this property so it's a little hard to judge. 5 star hotel with a nice entrance. Rooms are spacious and our bed was comfortable. We had another family travelling with us, and their room had a bad damp smell in it. Room was changed, and new room had a leak from the ceiling which needed to be attended to. The Sofitel close-by which I stayed in previously was far superior. I don't like to be negative, and the Taj wasn't too bad, however I don't feel it lived up to the reviews I read of it before booking. That is just our experience after one night though.

I got very sick because of the pool area people can smoke and be at the pool area. I couldn’t handle smelling the smoke from others and I got very sick . There should be an area for smoking am(swimming). The pool had kids. Children shouldn’t be exposed to smoking.

I stayed at the taj for 8night and it was a great decision. My feedback would be, charging too much for the snacks in the suite and the water. Too much greed in my opinion and for a 5 star at least include it in the final room price.
