First the good…The caretaker was friendly and available. Check in was easy. The outside is really pretty. Tons of lavender and other flowers. Attracts birds and bees. Lovely. Nice new furniture by pool. Nice lawn. The house is really pretty and spacious. Kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. Good location for going around. The bad….The listing has QUIET written in bold. It is the opposite. It is LOUD and NOT PRIVATE. There’s a huge three story apartment going up next door. They were LOUD, music blaring and gawking the whole time. They stared at my wife naked in the window and made her feel like she couldn’t be by pool without being ogled. This ruined her privacy - Also. lawns were being mowed from two sides for two days. You cannot control lawn mowing, but the construction should ABSOLUTELY be disclosed. Instead, it’s a disingenuous listing. It’s not quiet. Not at all. The REALLY BAD…This home is heavily smoked in. It was so heavily scented with cigarettes that my whole family took exception. It smelled like my dead relatives apartment that was smoked in for 30 years. This could have happened recently as the older reviews didn’t mention it. I’m not sure, but it was unbearable and we spent as little time as possible in the house. We couldn’t keep windows open due to massive amounts of mosquitos from the season. No screens, so we had to either endure the smell, or let in mosquitos. It was awful. We received a small refund for our trouble. We wouldn’t stay again.
