Unfortunately we were not able to sleep very well at all at this hotel. Even though it was cold outside, the room wasn't well ventilated without the window open, so the room heated up. The room didn't have air conditioning, so our only option was to open the window. This still didn't really cool the room down very well. But it let in a lot of noise from a music venue very close by (i.e. with thumping noise, lasting until at least 3am). We think we probably would have heard this noise anyway, even with the window closed.

Great location, very small room even by European standands. The bathroom was so small it felt unsafe. Our air conditioner dripped water the entire night soaking the carpet. Whe. I told an attendant twice, they did nothing.

Would not, could not recommend. Surprised by the good reviews. Carpet was full of stains and loose debris, so clearly hasn't been vacuumed between bookings. Pillowcase had a stain on it, there was a blond hair on the comforter (I have dark hair). Sheets did not smell fresh or clean, didn't feel comfortable sleeping between the sheets so I slept on top of comforter with a towel over the pillow. Washroom smelled like urine, I would rather use public toilet over room bathroom. The whole room smelled off-putting. Although we chose this hotel based on location, it was very noisy and without air conditioning, you had to keep the window open. Piano bar below open until 3am and noisy high-traffic street, good luck sleeping. Wifi was almost non-existent. Barely 2 bars at best, could not connect video or even voice call over wifi. Not worth $500CAD/night, even if peak season.

This property was a real disappointment, from the broken lift to the mold growing in the grout of the shower and the windows that did not open so we could cool down during a heatwave. We also experienced a medical emergency in our group and the night clerk never even looked up when asked if they offered ice (they do not) and there was one telephone in the whole hotel that we could use to call a doctor, but there was concern about us tying up their ONLY phone line. The day staff seemed to do their best to be welcoming and accommodating in an environment beyond their control, but the evening staff left a lot to be desired. I loved the neighborhood and would definitely stay in the area again, but I was supposed to return to this hotel at the end of my journey and have canceled that reservation in favor of another hotel.

ADA bathroom floor covered with linoleum and had a seam that likely has water damage from the shower and poor drainage. The floor was squishy underfoot in parts. Loud at night due to nearby clubs and the smell of old meat wafted in through the windows. Staff was very responsive however.
