The rented me a room that they had already rented to someone else. When I walked in the door I saw a suitcase and music was playing and I think they were in the shower. They also had a dinner menu but no cook.

Clean room, gross pool
The hotel looked modern, but you can tell it was cheaply updated. Poor construction, paint job, globs of glue and caulking on the floors. The pool was gross! The water was murky with an oily film and debris floating on top. Needless to say, we chose not to swim.

Check in & food went well. Unfortunately a domestic squabble broke out in front of our hotel room door (around the corner from front desk) and nothing was done to quiet the couple down. Went on for 2 hrs in & out of their room. I even called the front desk to have them take the argument outside.

We only stayed one night for a few hours on our way home from California, so we didn't get to take full advantage of everything. But the breakfast was GREAT, and the bed was comfortable. Pool looked nice, but we didn't have time to check it out. Would stay here again if we ever needed to.

Accessibility Not As Advertised
I had previously stayed at Shutters last year and it was wonderful. Since then, my partner has become disabled and needs wheelchair accommodation. The room we booked on Hotels.com showed grab bars in the shower and plenty of room for a wheelchair to navigate the room. The room we were given had none of these features and didn't even match the layout in the photos (it was a mirrored layout and much smaller). The check-in agent said that that was the only accessible room that they had (it had a flashing alert doorbell for the deaf and hard of hearing) and there was nothing they could do. My assumption is that our room had been given to another guest. When we got to the room, it took extraordinary effort to turn the wheelchair around given the lack of space between beds and furniture. The shower was absolutely not safe for my partner, and our daughter has to assist with getting her in and out of the shower. I had also submitted additional notifications via Hotels.com for our accessibility needs, so there truly is no excuse for this lack of preparation and accommodation, not to mention the implications in regards to the Americans with Disabilities Act. I am preparing an email to discuss with the manager, but this review is to inform potential customers with disabilities to call ahead and ensure that the accommodations you are going to receive are as advertised. Additionally, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable with limited support. I actually had to rotate the mattress.
