We loved the view of the creek. It was enjoyable to sit on the balcony and listen to it. There's a light show at night too, which is neat. Our room was just fine, could use a bit of updating and more deep cleaning, but no complaints otherwise. We enjoyed that it was a little away from the busy downtown strip, but still very walkable. Very affordable for 3 nights in Gatlinburg, comparably.

The Groupon site kept crashing so it took forever to check in!! The lady was nice but very frustrated. She said the Groupon site always crashes. Shame on yall for not having a better way to claim the hotel groupons

Great place to stay for the cost
The Bear Creek Inn was a great place to stay for a trip to visit the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg. The location was great with the river just behind the hotel and within easy walking distance to Gatlinburg. The only thing that would make it better would a little more privacy on the balconies.

Great value and clean
The hotel's bathroom had been recently remodeled and was nice. The view of the creek was lovely. The rest of the room was clean and fine. The air conditioner was a little loud and sounded like it needed maintenance, and the room was a bit dark. I would have liked choices between soft and firm pillows. There were 3 soft pillows on each bed. 4 total, with 2 soft and 2 firm would be better. There is also a place where water pools next to the elevator, which makes rolling suitcases to the elevator problematic. In general, a great deal for what you get in this area.

I couldn't even check in because the front staff refused to work with my customer service agent to resolve an issue the hotel had created. I will never book with this hotel again. They refuse to help customers with an issue they created.

We rented 2 rooms & were told they would be close to each other….we ended up being on the same floor but different wings. No one was in any room around us until the night before we checked out. One room had a very strong marijuana smell when we walked in. We complained & were told there were no more rooms to move into so they put a machine in the room to take the smell away….helped a little. Electrical outlets by bathroom sink didn’t work. Small rooms. Most staff were nice. The view of the creek was nice.

Nice place for the price , Bed very comfortable! Could be a little cleaner corners .The balcony over the creek very relaxing!The only thing I can say is if you plan to walk to downtown Gatlinburg there hill on the way back .
