Disgraceful and appalling, an absolute blight on Scottish tourism. Booked and paid for a deluxe room which all website photos show as large spacious rooms with separate lounge sitting areas fireplace and balcony with seating. Ended up in a small room 1/3 the size and a smaller uncomfortable bed, no room for our suitcases which we left in the car. Staff assured us restaurant was safe for coeliacs which it is definitely not as it's own menu and other reviews attest to. AVOID!

This place is a hidden gem. The dining area and pub decor is great. The hotel room, which was a cottage was very clean, the bed was comfortable. I would definitely go back!

Great place to stay at Loch Lomond. We had room 41, with its own lounge and amazing view to the lake. Staff are all lovely. Food is really good. Buffet breakfast was great. Cannot fault it.

The Oak Tree was a disappointment. Not as presented in their photographs. Rooms are tired and in need of updating. Food in the restaurant was good but surroundings very rustic. In my view expensive for what was on offer.

Lovely Six Night Stay in July
We loved our stay here. Our superior pod had everything we needed and the little patio with the view of the Loch was just perfect. Good mattress and plenty of hot water - the most important things for me. The hotel and cottages were beautiful. Might try out the cottages next time! Reception staff were delightful. Friendly and welcoming. We had dinner our first night and it was terrific. This was our first time having haggis and I think it spoiled us! The Cullen Skink and Sticky Toffee Pudding were also great. Lovely whisky flight also

Lovely room but...
It's a difficult review. The staff are great,the food is great and the rooms are very nice and clean.however,we were in Dan's cottage room on the lower level. The soundproofing is unfortunately non existent. We could hear and feel every footstep above,every toilet flush,every hairdryer and every muffled conversation. It's a shame as the room,hotel and balmaha are lovely.

Loved this hotel. Easy parking. Comfortable and clean rooms. Lovely balcony. We didn’t use it though as it was raining. About a 2 minute walk to the actual restaurant. Really excellent food. Would definitely stay again.
