Food is not accessible in the evening unless you have reservations. We had photos at sunset and had no choice but to leave the property to get food from a gas station

King room needs a major update. Our balcony had soft spots all in the flooring. We didn’t feel safe going out on it as we were on the second floor.

The property was beautiful but it was very busy and hectic. It didn’t feel relaxing . The dinner was delicious in the dining room but the waiter was overwhelmed with too many tables. Also we couldn’t park close to the hotel and had to be shuttled in which was inconvenient. I felt like everything was so hectic that no one really took care to give personal attention. Although the area was beautiful I wouldn’t return . We stayed at Lorraine lake lodge and service was ten times better and it was also very beautiful. They had many special touches that made our stay amazing . Here I felt like just a number.

The location is incredibly beautiful. The lodge itself is dated by rustically charming. The best part about staying at the lodge is being able to enjoy it at night and in the early morning before the thousands of day trippers arrive. The food options are pricey and could be better for the prices charged. The newly renovated outdoor hot tub was excellent.

Beautiful lakefront property. We stayed in Room 122 which has a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake and the mountains. The location gives it a 5 star rating. However the condition of the rooms could be better. The property is clean, but it’s way overdue for a coat of paint and basic maintenance jobs.

Beautiful setting, amazing food and friendly staff. The shuttle set up was a bit annoying. The room decor was dark and outdated. The public shouldn't be allowed to walk around the hotel property, they were very loud and disrespectdul (I witnessed a father tell his son to urinate in the bushes in front of a cabin) and I feel that paying guests should have first access to the canoes. Perhaps the first hour of them opening should be for the guests to rent first? We were there for the surroundings and stayed at the lodge because of the convenience.

The best amenity was the wood burning fireplace in the suite and the access to the lake. For the price paid everything was a big run down and out dated, especially the bathroom. There was carpet throughout. I can’t remember the last time I stayed somewhere that had carpet. It is probably for sound purposes as there was another unit above us, but unless the carpet is being steamed each turnover, it’s gross. They did give us a nice dog treat gift upon arrival and the bed was very comfortable with as many pillows as we liked. If the cabins had been upgraded the price would make sense. For me it’s a 3 star location until then.

Emerald Lake was our favorite place to stay. We walked around the lake, canoed on the lake, dined at both cilantro and the restaurant in the lodge. In the evening we hung out on the porch with our group. Plunged in the lake. It was lovely. We were happy to mostly unplug. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: Amazing service. They accommodated all our last minute requests due to cancellations in Jasper. Property is beautiful and very well maintained and clean rooms. I would highly recommend staying here. Cons: The front desk is quite far from the parking lot and you have to take a shuttle. A bit of a hassle if you are arriving late.

Emerald Lake Lodge is a beautiful property and worth the price for the location alone. To be able to walk the lake trail in the early morning before the public arrives is one of my best memories. I believe most rooms do have some type of lake view (we had a small porch with a lake view, but did not use it as a bird had made quite a mess just outside the door, as we were only there for one night we didn't make a fuss). The inside of the room was spacious with a seating area next to a fireplace, the bed very comfortable- there is NO air conditioning but we slept with the porch door open as we were on the second floor. (Note there was not an elevator so if this is a requirement please note this on your reservations). The bathroom is standard size but the toiletries are luxurious. We made dinner reservations at the main restaurant and the food and service were outstanding. The entire staff is well trained and friendly, in addition they have bear spray for use while at the Lodge. I highly recommend the Emerald Lake Lodge.

Not worth it
Really rundown and not worth the money. Beautiful location but rooms were visibly warn, dirty carpets, rooms smelt badly of smoke. Bar staff and restaurant staff were lovely and friendly. Hotel workers however were rude, not holding doors open when carrying heavy bags, not welcoming, no offer to have someone help with our bags to room, and the rooms are quite a walk up or downhill
