On the balance, Hotel Lorensberg was great bang for my buck. Real emphasis on the value dynamic though. The room is a small hallway with a single bed and a desk... it's pretty cozy. Service was mostly great, though for some reason, the room cleaners refused to take away empty bottles, cans, etc. Didn't quite get that. The wifi is... passable, for the most part, but it can be pretty rough at times. So heads up if you're in town for work.

Great stay
Started in a hostel and moved here. Really nice hotel, free tea and coffee at all hours and water vending in reception. They also do some really nice pastries. Staff are mega friendly and the hotel still has the original lift (although you can't use it, notnsure if you'd want to). Location is really good, right near Liseberg and the hockey stadium, lots of restaurants nearby and the bus and tram stop is 50m up the road. 100% would stay here again.

An excellent hotel, good location and very convenient for the airport bus if you get off at the right stop. I was there when the weather was very hot but I had a fan and fridge in my room. The breakfast was really fantastic, one of the best I have ever experienced - lots of variety and high quality products. The granola was the best I haver tasted. Also appreciated the ability to make tea and coffee at any time in the sitting room downstairs.

It was absolutely surreal. I was received so nicely when I reached. My check in was flawless, took 2 minutes and I was in my nice clean, cosy room. Bed was very comfortable, room had all the necessities, it was tidied up every day to my delight. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of vegan options, lovely warm brown bread, plenty of fruits and fresh vegetables. Tea, coffee and water available 24/7 in guest area sometimes even cake available. Staff are extremely hospitable and customer friendly. The location of this hotel is super convenient. I’ve had an excellent experience and definitely hope to return.

Good breakfast provided. English tea not available in room but a kettle provided. Only white bread for toast no brown bread except fruit bread that could be toasted. Near all transport and conference venue. I paid extra for larger room and it was worth it.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. They did a wonderful job answering all our questions and helping us out when needed. The breakfast was also really outstanding. So many options! Fresh ingredients and freshly prepared food. Convenient location.

Great location in central Göteborg and is easy to access key amenities. Staff are helpful and friendly and able to answer questions about attractions, public transportation, etc. in the city. The breakfast is filling and good although the same day after day, and not great for non-pork eaters (seriously how do Jews and Muslims eat in Sweden other than becoming vegetarian?). Although the rooms aren’t fancy they are clean and well designed and pleasant. The antique elevator is quite amusing (there is a modern one too). Definitely make use of the sauna which is open to individuals and family groups only during the pandemic.
