The hotel has been recently remodeled. The staff was attentive and friendly. I slept great. They offer a shuttle service from the airport for a fee.

The outside is a little dismal but was pleasantly surprised for the price with the accomodations. The building is a little old but up kept in decent shape and clean. Would stay again.

Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is good and decent, Gipper's restaurant next door is excellent (food is great, service is excellent and very reasonable) and close to the airport with shuttle service. It's within 10 to 15 minutes from downtown.

The EconoLodge was great. Check in and out were super easy. The room was enormous and cheap. The hotel is well located to both go do anything in Grand Rapids as well as easy to leave and get on the highway from. The facilities were all up to date, clean, and very spacious. Only complaint would be the wifi is slightly slow but the cell signal is good enough it isn’t really needed. Would recommend and will likely return as well!

Cheap Hotel - Good & Bad
"Cheap Hotel" is a polarizing phrase. The price and location were very good. The facility was generally clean, quiet, and beds were comfortable. We were there for 3 nights and there was no housekeeping during the stay (we know that nobody entered our room). Breakfast service was poor - 2 of 4 juice dispensers not working, no syrup for the pancakes, very limited options. Several vending machines were out of order.

I have stayed here several times and it is a no frills, great value for my money place to stay. I have always been happy with the service and condition of the rooms. It is close to so much stuff too.

Stayed here several times in the past. We'd had problems with the internet in the past but it was ok this time. Floors need to be cleaned a little better, they felt gritty. There is vent above the small sink that needs to be cleaned regularly. That's unacceptable.

For the price, this property is difficult to beat. The rooms are very unique. Our room with 2 beds was clean and had the bathroom in the middle of the room, giving privacy to both of the sides of the room with beds. There were 2 TVs as well to accommodate the split room. The breakfast was just ok, but considering the price, amazing that it was included. The big downside for us was that we needed to wash clothing, and it wasn't until we were putting the clothes in the only dryer that we found out it wouldn't work. As it was really late, we had to wait until morning and then take them to a laundromat to finish drying them. This was an inconvenience, but we would risk it again for the price.

The hotel was great! Upon check in we were told we had to pay a $50 deposit (even though we had paid in full when we booked the room) & would br refunded after check out. My only complaint is that it took almost a week to get our $50 back. When you're told to expect it the next day & it actually takes 6 days, it gets a little unnerving. The room was clean & no complaints about the room or hotel, only the surprise deposit that we weren't prepapred for!
