The staff were brilliant. Friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The hotel would benefit from an overall refurbishment, carpets and paintwork look quite worn. When we arrived finding the entrance to the car park proved quite challenging, maybe some directions to it on the website would help. The breakfast coffee was terrible however the food overall was better than expected, generally well cooked and tasty with some nice touches such as pea shoots and sliced chilli on the SE asian curry. The Sunday roast was also a hit.

I thought the telephone manner of the 2 people I booked with was friendly and patient and helpful, I was visiting Havant for the first time and felt I could ask for more. Room was spacious and temperature good, lovely beds, functional and clean bathroom with hot water.Nice staff and appeared to be nice clientele. Liked the attentive breakfast staff.

We stayed in room 40, the curtains were paper thin and there was a light right outside our window, which was on all night. The bathroom was very dated and the shower was a nightmare for my husband to use as it was so low. It was just ok for me and Iā€™m 5ft 2ā€. We stay there to go to a festival in Portsmouth. It is walkable to the station and transport was good. You have to enter through the back entrance after 11pm which we were not told about, this was a bit worrying when all the doors were closed and we didnā€™t know how to get in but got there in the end.

The room was large but very dated. The hotel had few people in the restaurant so not inviting. The bar was sparse, but the people that were in were very noisy. Also the wine was not very nice at all. The only positive was the one barmaid, who was very pleasant and helpful by offering our dog some water and a treat. We will not be returning.

Everything was really good nice room quiet at night only downside was on arrival all checked in ok then going to the room all the dirty linen bags are all over the stairs and hallway bit of an obstacle course to get to the room

Good but dated.
Stayed for a number of nights while at an event nearby. Fantastic location and loads of car parking. Received a warm welcome and efficient checkin. Bar food was tasty and atmosphere friendly. While very comfortable the twin room was dated and bathroom needs work on the shower and toilet.
