I had a generally positive stay here, but a few negatives marred the experience. I enjoyed the clean, modern feel of the decor, the onsite restaurant, comfortable bed and proximity to several decent eateries. On the first night I stayed, the hotel was very quiet and I slept well. I also ate dinner at the onsite restaurant, which was adequate. (Breakfast is an additional charge and seemed to be a problem for many guests without vouchers.) For the remaining nights of my stay, MANY pre-teen children checked in. They ran around the halls of the hotel until the wee hours. At one point I even received a prank call at 3am on the hotel phone. The front desk did nothing. The disruptions were not welcomed as I was there for business and needed to sleep. Also, the TV remote did not work and looked very old, as was the window AC unit that blew cold air directly on the bed all night. The gym was well equipped but the ellipticals were not working. I also noticed there was a lack of sanitizing spray & paper towels there to wipe down equipment before/after use. Finally, the outdoor pool was tiny for a hotel of this size, which made it not practical to relax in as said children were in it all day/evening. Parking was free and plentiful and the location was convenient to Hershey, to my business location and to the airport. All in all, not a terrible stay but I'm not sure I'll choose this hotel again when I visit Harrisburg in the future.

Not what we were expecting.
Checked in, went to room, checked out 5 minutes later. Huge waste of money. This is not a family place. This is not a good location unless you are visiting a local industrial area. I was deceived by their on-line presence. Don’t make my mistake. Keep searching.

The Staff in the lobby was not overly welcoming upon check in. Only one of two elevators were working during our stay. Air conditioning was not working in t areas outside the elevators or hallways of the hotel as the always were dirty and musty and hot. The room was in fair condition, as there were large scrapes and gouges out of the wall. There was hair on the bathroom toilet upon check in.

If you don’t care about privacy
We hung out our door sign. In the morning a light tap and then the door knob is opening. No call out nothing. Housecleaning was coming in!!! And our DO NOT DISTURB sign was out!!! The front desk lady just brushed it away like it was nothing. Like really??!!! I can be totally undressed or sleeping and they can walk in on me at any moment. We stayed at this hotel before and it was SO DISAPPOINTING! We finally had a get away from life’s stresses and then this. So much for a romantic relaxing stay. They didn’t offer reimbursement or anything. Just an “o we made a mistake and got the wrong room”. Yeah right! This is our third stay here and we won’t be back.

I’ll update later, but in case you’re thinking about booking this hotel, please save yourself the headache. So far, we’ve been given a dirty room, had someone try to get into our room (with keys provided by the front desk), and been charged for our room PLUS another random person’s room. We’re thankful our credit card company flagged the charges and let us know!! Of course, no one at the front desk is helping or taking responsibility. They just state to call the manager on Monday.

Having a hard time with the management at this property. I had cancelled one booking with another 3rd party reservation system and rebooked through Expedia because less expensive. Got to the hotel excited to rest up and use amenities with my son, only to find out that i was booked for 2 rooms. The lady at the front desk called her manager and explained that I had a confirmed cancellation email and he was not sympathetic at all. The SAD part is that he didn't even talk to me. He just told the front desk clerk to give me the General Manager's business card and to reach out to her on Monday- and he just hung up. I have since reached out to the other 3rd party about the cancellation and they have also attempted to reach the General Manager. I have been trying to reach her and it's been a week- no reply. I tried my best to shield my young son from this stress during our stay- he even suggested that we bring our fam back to this hotel and hit up Hershey. I just smiled (because it really is a nice hotel, but how unprofessional can you get?). I wish I got the name of the lady at the front desk- she really felt for me. It's really crazy that the fact I booked through a 3rd party that management was/is so unwilling to help me. I guess I need to be a VIP or premier with IHG for them to be willing to engage with a guest.
