Great Customer Service!!
We originally had reservations at the hotel across the street. We had confirmed an early check-in. When we got to that hotel, we were told thereā€™d be a three hour wait. They were incredibly rude and we canceled our reservation. We Really lucked out with this La Quinta! Not only was check-in a breeze, they were kind and helpful and let us check in early with no issues. The room was comfortable and clean. The hot tub was amazing and really made our stay perfect! Excellent customer service all around! Highly recommend!

The staff especially the breakfast lady and the reception staff were all nice and helpful and listened to our suggestions.. The hotel is smelly due to the air conditioners in the rooms throwing off a lot of humidity and having carpets in the rooms that are old and smelly especially since they allow dogs( I like that but dogs on carpets create a unique smell) Due to the humidity the linen was damp and there was a musty smell. We were allowed to change our room because of strong dog smell but the next room had the musty rug. Faucet in bathtub leaked while showering causing reduced pressure. The little freezer was totally iced over.

The staff seemed ok however the property was horrible. Not well maintained and very all over the place. Our first room was full of mold, severeeee water damage(which the tried to cover up with pain even though the entire wall was bubbled out and cracked), HORRIBLE SMELL, paint peeling, no toilet paper at all, no towels etc. went down to ask for toilet paper, towels and 2 pillowsā€¦ the lady literally went in the back, handed us toilet paper, 2 towels and 2 pillows and 2 pillow cases for us to put on. We assumed someone would bring it up but no, she had us wait for the stuff from the back room. Later on, we couldnā€™t take the smell anymore so we asked to switch rooms - no questions asked, gave us a room across the hall. It didnā€™t smell which was great however, the paint hack job and the gross creepy vibes were back. The tub had mold all over too. Dirty, cracked walls and ceiling etc. Would we go back? Not a chance. Itā€™s like they are putting Bandaids all over the place and not actually repairing anything. Breakfast was good though (I made a waffle).

Main lobby is large, clean & inviting. Front desk staff welcoming & pleasant. Our room was clean & bed was very comfortable(which was a nice change from our last few hotel stays). Breakfast had a ton of options, from scrambled eggs, bagels & yogurts, to waffles, muffins & more. Very accomodating & plenty of choices. Will be staying here again next time we visit Hershey Park. Also, theres a diner adjecent to the hotel in the same parking lot which seems convenient for travelers as well. 5/5 overall.

The place needs work
The quality of the last renovtion of the rooms was fair at best. Plugs in the lamp on the endtable between the beds was on functional. The caulking in the tub and the vanity sink was poor. The ice machine on the floor was out of service.
