Perfect Location for Honolulu!
This is our fourth stay at this hotel because of the service, breakfast and location. We used The Bus to go to two hikes (Moana and Diamond Head Trails), two Malls (Kahala and Ala Moana), the Bishop Museum, The Alley (which has the best oxtail soup - as mentioned everywhere) and for returning to the airport. We purchased a week bus pass; I think a 3 day pass is available, as well. Bus stops are located across the street or a couple of blocks away. Even if you don’t use the bus, the hotel is located in Waikiki, with many restaurants and interests nearby in walking distance. The Military Museum is very close by (7 minutes walk?) and is free. The daily breakfast offers many options - including three types of meat once - and is a great way to start the day. If I had a negative, it’s that the bathroom is small, but we don’t go to Hawaii for that. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a convenient and enjoyable stay in Honolulu !

Friendly and helpful staff. Two minor complaints are rooms are smaller than I expected. I've stayed at other Holiday Inns but I guess Holiday Inn Express has smaller rooms for the same price. Complementary breakfast at an "Express" is not the same as Holiday Inns. It's decent but not as good. As a vacationer who stayed there for 3 weeks, the breakfast menu rotation got old quick.

Overpriced. Amenity charge of $46.00 Canadian a day was outrageous! Better places to stay in Waikiki were cheaper and had no Amenity charge. Will never stay at or recommend this hotel again.

Short Trip to Honoluu
The hotel staff were excellent especially during check in. Our room was small but adequate and they cleaned it everyday. My major issue was not with the hotel itself but with the location. Although the beach is within walking distance it wasn’t convenient to drag yourself and all your stuff there. There was also no restaurants close by, one did open up next door while we there and after they get the kinks worked out might be a good place. We just wanted to go have a bite to eat and have a drink at the end of the day but that required walking what seemed like a distance. Would have loved if the hotel had a bar to use in the evening. One other thing is that parking a car is $50.00 a day and then to find a parking space when you do things is sometimes difficult and another expense. We used the city bus, which was great, as well as UBER to get places.

Rooms are a little on the small side, not sure what the 2 bed rooms looked like. Hotel is very conveniently located to walk downtown Waikiki. Breakfast was included in the room charge which made the daily rate more affordable. All in all, we had a good stay at the Holiday Inn Express Waikiki and would recommend this hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn. The lobby check-in area was clean and the process was quick. The room we stayed in was a king bedroom and for the square footage space the room was tight. However, a room for two people of the size was enough. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The shower head water was strong and there was hot water. There are other reviews that talk about the somewhat inconvenience of the only three elevators that go up to the 24th floor that take forever, which I also thought was pretty inconvenient. However, it did not bother me very much. The included breakfast was very good. My overall thoughts of this facility is very good. However, the walk to the main Waikiki shopping center and the Waikiki Beach is a fairly far walk compared to other hotels that you can book. It takes about 15 almost 20 minutes to walk to Waikiki Beach. For the price and amenities of this hotel, it is pretty good. The bus stop that can take you to Diamondhead is also across from the hotel. You were also very close to 2 to 3 ABC stores and 7-Eleven.

You pay for the valet, but it is not even guaranteed that you will get a spot rooms are too small little bit different than the pictures. Breakfast is not the best but the great location.

The staff was excellent very friendly and accommodating only thing we dislike is the property was so dusty the carpet you can tell not being washed at all and the Airconditioning was very loud and it’s like blowing a dust because me and my partner keep sneezing my rhinitis get worse every time were inside the room over all it was ok 6 out of 10
