Great location for a family beach vacation
Other than having the comforter changed upon arrival due to a stain the room was great and having a full kitchen really helps with the kids and their eating habits. The view on the upper floors is amazing, fireworks and a hula show on Fridays. Stayed for over a week and loaded up at Walmart in the first day with water/food/snacks/spirits. Parking by the marina is cheaper than valet, and there are tons of shops everywhere. The lagoon was great for the kids, and the beach has a great vibe. Definitely would recommend Ilikai to any family.

The Ilikai is iconic. Not for people who want blinged out, Vegas style resorts in Hawaii. Aloha served here daily and the reason why we always come back to Hawaii.

Iconic hotel and really good atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. View from the sunset view jr suite was amazing and overlooking the Marina and Honolulu. Rates were better than Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki which is right next door, so you can still visit the village shops and restaurants without being in a crowded hotel or vacay club waiting on elevators with other tourists. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Waikīkī.

Good property! Rooms need to be updated Full kitchens need a dishwasher! Need more than one frying pan in the kitchen! Great free entertainment like the Hula and the grill restaurant had great live music at nigh!!! Especially Thursday night! Close to the beach! I had the full ocean view room with a full kitchen I would use this resort again.

The room we were given was NOT a good location, they put us on 2nd floor above the valet & street level so there was NON STOP noise. The room was nice but beds need updating & better pillow for sure. The staff was really nice & helpful. Management took care of an issue we had with someone from the staff coming into room without our permission & scaring our daughter. The valet workers didn't seem to work like most other valet staff, we had to bring the keys to them when we would arrive so NO tip for lack of service from them & cost was EXPENSIVE. Might be better if we were placed in a better location & better view.

The stay overall was good. A lot of trouble and confusion checking in. My room description stated pool view and my room didn’t. I had a straight view of the trash and parking lot. The elevator situation was the absolute worst. I’m not sure I would stay at this location again.

I want to give a big shout out to Mervin and Chester at front desk. They were quite pleasant and made our experience positive. Please consider putting full length mirrors in the room otherwise everything else is perfect. We will certainly come back!

The elevators seem to be updated/ maintained better. Even though the number of people in the elevators was less than 2500 lbs, the max capacity, two of the elevators didn't move. We had to let the last people in out.

Our 9-day stay at the Ilikai was good overall. The staff was the highlight of the hotel— everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful. For the price, the room was good. Having the full kitchen was great. Loved that all kitchen appliances and utensils were included in the room already. We needed extra pans and the front desk sent them up to the room quickly. The room was clean for the most part but there are some areas of improvement when it comes to cleanliness. The shower head was very grimy. It looked like it hadn't ever been clean. The mildew was very visible. There were also small gnats that hung out in the shower area of the bathroom (on the ceiling near the shower head). I also found two small cockroaches during our stay— one on the refrigerator door and another on the carpet near the bed. Again, the room overall was clean but it could be better. Loved the eating at Poke Paradise. Went almost once a day because it was so good! Also ended most nights with a treat from Dave's Ice Cream. Also really good!
