Didn’t like – General shopping list of the room, no plug to use the blow dryer with the mirror, had to ask for an extension cord, which should be an automatic in that room. Uncomfortable chairs in the room. Liked – Pub & Bartender Ben, the Wood fires, dogs allowed, Coffee options available in the room, shower in room 24.

Staying in an historic hotel with décor to match is very romantic. The rooms were a bit cold - but the extra heaters were a blessing. Wish we could have been seated in the older section of the dining area to maintain the ambience of the evening with my husband.

Warm, historical feel at this property. Restaurant was excellent, easily accommodated GF diet. Room was the most spacious we had in three weeks of road tripping. We were warned of the live music on Saturday nights but even with the window cracked, we couldn’t hear it. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

A wonderful night at the George Hotel!
What a fabulous hotel! We loved everything about it. The room was excellent, clean and the staff were professional and welcoming. We arrived early (flew from Canada that morning) and the wonderful reception lady checked us in! I cannot say enough about that made our day after a long flight overseas! The restaurant in the hotel served a delicious dinner, then breakfast in a super beautiful dining room full of charm and character! We absolutely loved our time at the George Hotel! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will happily return!

This place was a delight, the food was wonderful and if you come to stay you must have one meal here. The rooms were lovely and we had everything we needed including tea and nespresso machines in the rooms. The staff was friendly and engaging and I would come back again.

My first visit to The George Hotel was in 1995, during my very first time in Scotland. On subsequent trips I always made it a point to come to Inverary to have an evening in the tavern, which is a wonderful experience, but had never spent the night. The room was very well-appointed and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was very good indeed. Such a good location as well for it is only an hour or so from Glasgow, and the scenery on the way is truly beautiful. Already planning our next visit! Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Levendig hotel in dorpscentrum. Een komen en gaan van gasten voor het restaurant, het hotel, de beergarden. Boven een gangenstelsel van kamers met krakende houten vloeren. Modern ingericht met behoud van oude details. Gratis wifi aanwezig. Naast een brood/yoghurt ontbijt krijg je een menukaart. Ter plekke kun je een heerlijke keuze maken en dit wordt aan je tafel gebracht. Inbegrepen. Vriendelijk en gewoon personeel. Aanrader. Zeer tevreden.

What an absolute joy to be a guest at The George Hotel! The minute we walked in there was a buzz about the hotel, not noisy, but a lively vibe. The staff were all really friendly and appeared happy in their jobs. The room was large with chairs to sit on and well laid out. When we booked they recommended we book for the restaurant which we had done and were pleased we did as it was full, and again a very nice vibe. The food was lovely. In the bar next to the restaurant there was a good live band after dinner, with plenty of people listening to them. Breakfast was self service buffet of cold food, then a good selection of freshly cooked hot options from the menu. Overall a lovely hotel, well recommended.
