Disliked: Cleanliness
We recently stayed at BayMari Suites for our holiday, and while the property has some positive aspects, there were significant issues that affected our experience.
Pros:
The property is spacious, and we were moved to a room slightly bigger than the one we initially booked, which gave us more room to move around.
The size of the rooms, in general, is generous, which can be a plus for families.
Cons:
Unfortunately, we encountered an infestation in the original room we were assigned. The presence of bed bugs was undeniable, and it’s hard to believe that such an obvious issue could have been missed by the cleaning staff. This really impacted the overall comfort and cleanliness of our stay.
The area around the hotel is not ideal for a holiday, as it's a Economically disadvantaged neighborhood with some dilapidated buildings nearby. While this isn’t directly the hotel’s responsibility, it’s worth noting for those looking for a more polished vacation setting.
Cleaning standards were below average, which may have contributed to the infestation issue in the first place. This was disappointing, especially considering the circumstances.
In summary, BayMari Suites has spacious accommodations, but there are clear areas for improvement, particularly with cleanliness and infestations.
