Crowne plaza itself overall was exrcellent But the main entrance under road construction which ruin my wheel new luggage. When we checked out I did hired their airport transfer to save wheel luggage.

Its in the heart of a busy area so if you stay on the 1st floor the noise from the street will be a part of your stay. It's not too bad though actually adds a nice vibe to the stay. I had a problem checking in on time becasue the roads were closed by protests that day and the hotel couldn't really offer anything to help like moving my booking to the next day or refund my booking so I can book somewhere I can get to. Anyway it worked out that I managed to get to to hotel late that night. The moral of the story if there are road closures due to protests in Istanbul take that seriously and plan to be in other areas before you get locked down.
