Great location with quality rooms

Beautiful property right near Hagia Sophia and so many tourist highlights. Tucked away in old mansion buildings converted to hotel we were in main building upper level with nice suite.

Upon further inspection of all plumbing in the bathroom, we realized the sink was installed without a pee trap. The odor is believed to have been coming from the sink

Everything about the property is unique. The 17 mansions and houses comprising the hotel are situated around one of the most famous streets in Istanbul, behind the Hagia Sophia and abutting the Topkapi Palace.

Staff was fantastic. Rooms were very nice and comfortable with great amenities. Also the Cappuccino in the hotel was the best in the immediate area. Quite nice, and convenient. We also enjoyed waking up to the call to prayer each morning ( a bit earlier than we would have liked, and the first morning it caught us off guard... but quite nice once we got used to it) Far better than an harsh Alarm Clock.

I was a little bit disappointed with this stay. I booked two room types, one is a standard room and the other is a twin room, which are in different buildings, but because the structure of the house should be wooden and the windows are not well sealed or double laies, the 2 rooms windows face the railway tracks. It was very very noisy every day especially at night because the trains passed by almost every 5 minutes (and rang the bells). During the day, we were very busy traveling around, so I didn't report this to the front desk. If you are a very sensitive sleeper, please don't consider this hotel or make sure that the windows don't face the railway tracks. Although, this is indeed unavoidable, after all, its location is excellent, right next to the Hagia Sophia Mosque, which can save a lot of time, and its house foundation is also very old, so I can fully understand. The hotel's Turkish breakfast is worth trying, with a variety of varieties and good taste. (I have lived in Turkey for more than 1 year), the service staff is very friendly, and the hotel facilities are actually well maintained. Their historical jacuzzi pool is highly recommended, my children had a lot of fun, 40 minutes is about 60-70 euros, this is an additional payment, if you are a family with children, it is recommended because it is private for 40 minutes.

In the heart of Istanbul

The hotel is very lively, it unfolds over one whole street in different buildings in the heart of the historic quarter, adjacent to Hagya Sofia and a short walk from the basilica Cistern, the blue mosque, the Topkapi Palace and pretty much close to what a first time tourist wants to see. Staff is friendly and personable, rooms spacious, clean and lovely, in short a great venue for the first time in Istanbul.

Beautiful hotel with stylish rooms. Well located close to the cultural centre and the market. So much to see and do in walking distance. The hotel is plush and tasteful decorated. My only complaint was the ā€˜jacuzziā€™ cave, meant to be a private space yet there is a camera watching your every move. I wonder how many people know that they are being watchedā€¦.

Located right at the key sites of Hagia Sofia Grand Mosque, Sultanahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), Topkapi, making it wasy to get there before lines form. If you like walking, its easy walking distance to sites such as Grand Bazaaar, Spice Market, pedestrain bridge. Felt very safe walking in this area. Breakfasts were delicious and abundant. Also, the Sarnic Restaurant was really fun with the Turkish dancing in a beautiful Cistern, and good food. Book for 7:30 or so, as dancing starts at 9.

Perfect for walking

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is lovely. You can easily walk to the grand bazaar, the spice market, Hagia Sofia, the blue mosque, Topkapi palace, the cistern, and a lot of restaurants. The downside is taxis canā€™t drop you off at the hotel. The hotel will pick you up with a golf cart and bring you to a taxi stand. We had good weather and donā€™t have mobility issues so it wasnā€™t a problem for us.

I had the most amazing experience staying at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond as I was traveling solo. They made sure I felt safe and explained to me all the details about how to see the sights and even drove me in the golf cart to dinner late night and fetched me as I felt uncomfortable alone. The welcome at the reception was fabulous they were so warm and friendly Special mention to staff member Tolga who expedited my check out and handled everything like such a pro . I am blown away by this hospitality and lovely clean unique hotel. The mansions were exquisite. I stayed at the Rose mansion - the smell of roses as you enter the mansion was intoxicating and so so special . They offered a complimentary breakfast which I did a traditional Turkish one at the garden terrace . Top tier. Hugely in love with this city
