On a small street within view of the Blue Mosque. The staff was very helpful especially when electrical power unexpectedly failedā€”not the hotelā€™s fault but the utilityā€™s. (Power was restored in a few hours.) A charming small hotel in the historic old city.

Itā€™s just behind the Museum of Turkic and Islamic Arts which is located on the same square with Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. But hotel does need renovation. Shower in my room requires the most renovation. Also itā€™s very narrow. I am about 210 lb (95kg) and barely fit shower cabin.

Family friendly, perfect stay!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The staff was very family friendly, and we enjoyed getting to know all of them for the short time we were there. The views from the terrace and our bedroom were breathtaking. We got to start off each morning with a delicious breakfast, and it was great to go back to a room with a strong AC during the hot days. Highly recommend.

As a female solo tourist, I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel TĆ¼rkoman. The staff were very warm and friendly and the whole atmosphere had a family vibe to it. The hotel was also located near all the main attractions. There was always someone in the lobby area 24 hours a day and they always were helpful with answering questions I had, helping me book a tour, a ride when needed and even helping me order food. They had a great spread for breakfast which was included in the price as while as free tea and coffee. They have a rooftop with seating which is where you had your breakfast or if you just wanted to hang out, with beautiful views of the Blue Mosque, the square as well as a water front view. The hotel was very clean and the rooms as well. I canā€™t say enough of Hotel TĆ¼rkoman except, I know I will be staying there again and recommending it to others.

I had a pleasant stay. The location is great for access to the main tourist sites. My room was comfortable and the front desk service was good. In small ways the property is a little worse for wear and in need of maintainance, or even an upgrade. But overall unless you want everything "just so" this is a good value choice for a stay of a few days.

The best thing about this hotel was the hippodrome was a few steps away, so convenient for all the attractions. The was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic otherwise could have given 5 stars

Hotel Turkoman revisited
I have stayed in this hotel many times, but not for about ten years. It was mildly disappointing that the direct route from the hotel to the Hippodrome has been blocked off, but that is hardly the fault of the hotel. It is in a great location and the views from the breakfast terrace are fantastic - at the moment there is a great view of the exterior work of restoration to the Blue Mosque.The staff are very friendly and helpful (although the housekeeping was a bit erratic). Good location not only for the historic sites of Sultanahmet, but there are some good eateries and watering holes within a few tens of meters. All in all a good place.

Great little hotel
Great little hotel in an excellent location, topped off with a really nice view of the Blue Mosque (which is just around the corner). The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Excellent value when taking into account the very nice breakfast, would happily stay again.

Good hotel at a Great location
Initially I didnā€™t like the hotel as it is very old property. But overall my experience was good. Hotel manager or owner Mr Riffat is a amazing guy. Really helpful and rest of the staff is great too.

Turkoman Hotel is my first and favorite choice always when visiting Istanbul. I always feel right at home. The rooms are nice, very clean, always a good nightā€™s sleep. The staff is helpful with all your needs. Transfers to/from airport(s) are a breeze as requested. Breakfasts are my highlight, good food assortment every morning, with serene view of Blue Mosque and Bosporus. Hotel is located close to everything within walking distance, restaurants, sights, Grand Bazaar, etc.

Charming hotel, yet bathroom not particularly comfortable, room could have had curtains covering windows in full not to allow light in and breakfast on the poor side. Being close to the blue mosque, be prepared to be woken up during the night. Of course position is great for sightseeing.

Nice hotel approx. 50 meters from Hippodrome.
The staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating. The views of the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome obelisk from the corner 3rd floor room windows and roof top cafe/bar area were wonderful
