It is what it is. For the price, I think itā€™s like a local old apartment in a bit of disrepair. However, the bonus is that the property is close by everything and walking distance to metro. The staff at the hotel are amazing and very nice. They were good with English and very helpful! So that was a bonus as well.

checked in, at first they gave a terrible room of a lower category than it was booked. Dirt everywhere, wires hanging from the ceiling, curtains torn, shower door broken, hair on the bed. They said there is no other room and had to spend the night in it. The hotel refused to make a refund and the next day they gave another room, but it was also dirty, there was no door in the shower, the chest of drawers was broken! This is a terrible hotel, don't stay there!

Not what it used to be.
I stayed at the Three Apples in 2010. It was really good then. Now It's fallen into disrepair and needs a revamp. On the upside the apartments are clean and the towels and sheets are new. Also, it's a great location for the sake of getting around Ä°stanbul.

t was horrible climb the 4 floors without elevator with our luggage, there were pierced across bed sheets, very very dirty curtains, the shower door was already broken and each coming day I have to ask for toilet paper. second day at the hotel I present myself for breakfast the service was empty and when I reclame to the receptionist he informed me that the person who take care off the service is absent. I have to take over to prepare coffee for me and other customers waiting to be served.

Sweet little place, excellent location
For an inexpensive hotel in an excellent location, this is a great little place. It has some quirks, (they shut the water off at night, but you just call the front desk if you're up early and they turn it back on). The suites are small, but comfortable and clean. The hotel staff is nice and helpful. The one downside was not being able to check in before 2 PM, so if your flight gets in early, you have to wait. But even that is no big deal - you can drop off your luggage and head off to eat in one of the many little restaurants off Taksim Square. It's a noisy, lively area, but I still found the rooms to be quiet. If you're from the U.S., you'll need adaptors for your chargers (laptops, smartphones). I brought my MacBook Pro, which has a 3-prong power cord. Finding the 220V adapter was difficult. They sell the 2-prong adapters everywhere (work with iPhone charger). Just bring your own 3 to 2 prong AC outlet converter and then you can use the Turkish 2 prong 220V adapters.

Only spent one night here, but was perfectly happy. No problems, and would stay in again and for longer if the need came up. I checked in rather late (midnight or so) and that wasn't a problem.

The location and area of the hotel was extremely dangerous . My husband and I had a very bad memory of this city and this hotel. Our room was in the first floor, at the 3rd night of our stay, a robbery happened in our room while we were sleeping. Can you bileive that? The next morning I woke up and see everything is on the floor and both of our wallets and my husband s iphone was gone. I don t think that I can forget that night and that awful memory ever. You can not imagine how scared we were the rest of our vacation.

nice location but not worth the money
hotel is fine and staff good. good luck getting sunlight if you have one of the basement rooms; good luck getting turnover service even if you stay 4 nights; good luck with breakfast; good luck getting toilet paper without asking once you run out. for the same pricee, manyy other nicer places to stay. cheers

Beautiful rooms, not such good location
The owners have done a wonderful job with the hotel itself. However, the office is on a main street, but then you are taken down smaller alleyways to get to the actual hotel. The area around the hotel is a more poor area, so it is different in the day and at night. Beautiful rooms though.

Good for experienced travellers
This is a suite of rooms rather than a hotel. Well placed for travel around Istanbul as Taksim square (3 minutes walk away) is a key transport hub. The actual street it is in is not great, but that's not relevant. No lift, stairs circular and road outside a steep climb. Not a problem for reasonably fit adults, but could affect others. Suite of rooms was actually better for us then a single room in a hotel - depends on what you want. Service straightforward and unfussy, that also suited us well. They were good at supplying information, pointing us to a good tour operator, and covering the basics.

Friendly staff, great location.
The apartment was great although the 'balcony' looks across at buildings and would not have been able to sit out (no chairs or table like the photo shows). That was the only slight negative. Reception staff were great and provided us with extra crockery when we had guests, helped set up wi fi and were alwsys smiling and polite. When we showed disapointment with balcony they asked if we wanted to move after a few days. No lift as it is a historic building. Location fanatsic - within a couple of minutes walking to Taksim Square. We would for certain go back to Three Apples apartments again.

Por el precio esperaba menos, pero me sorprendiĆ³ la ropa de cama estaba muy bien, las toallas de calidad premium. Excelente atenciĆ³n en recepciĆ³n, la ubicaciĆ³n excelente y ademĆ”s estĆ” cerca del metro, en el cual te puedes mover rĆ”pidamente por la ciudad. SĆŗper recomendado.

Thereā€™s no elevator to the 3rd floor, I had to drag my luggage up and down the stairs (Iā€™m a 67 years old lady). The bed springs almost out of the mattress, dirty dusty curtains. They offer a washer in the studio and thereā€™s none. I tried to cancel and they charged me twice. Terrible experience. NON RECOMMENDED!
