TOO PRICEY FOR SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE
After an 18hour drive, we stopped in Jacksonville for some rest. Our welcome to the hotel a stinky environment, particularly the hallways seemed to have flooded and the rugs looked sooo nasty and smelled like dirty mops. Although the room and beds looked good, the smell sneaked through the bottom of the door. We couldn’t wait for the following day to leave. If I have to say a good thing : coffee and breakfast was good.

This place is terrible tore up paints and walls! Needs! A complete renovation! We came in with a staff full attention on the cell phone! This is a ghetto! Not the way it was preCovid! Laquinta was always comfortable and clean! The elevator is a like a scene from Walking DEAD! and also the hallways. This location is unsafe for travelers with Children. There are a lot of weird looking Meth…people and Oh my God! their towels aren’t the best! We have to buy our own towel! Anyways enough said AVOID! this place

The room was ok, with a comfortable bed. The facility, however, needs an update. The ice machines are. Rosen, water was dripping from the ceiling in the lobby men’s room. The e.evator walls were stained and dirty, the hall carpets were worn and dirty looking. The location was convenient to rte 95 south of Jacksonville

We checked in for 2 rooms. Going up to the room, the hallways were filthy. The carpet was full of black mold. Thought another guest was kidding when he was sarcastically talking about the condition of the rooms. He wasn't. We get up to the rooms and I hear water running. We go in the first room and water is shooting out of the tub and sink. I turn them off, and the room is super humid. The carpet is stained with mold and mildew. The smell of room deodorizer was overwhelming. Went to the 2nd room to see the condition of that room and the carpet and cleanliness was just as bad. The light switches to the room did not work. We immediately called Expedia and got a refund and checked into a hotel 2 seconds away, where the staff graciously showed us the rooms prior to our finalizing the booking and they could not have been nicer our entire stay. They did note that they had heard the same complaints from other incoming guests. Wish I could upload pictures of the mold.

The hotel was truly filthy. The carpets in the hallways was disgusting. The paint on the walls & doors was chipped everywhere and peeling. There was a dead cockroach on the dresser in our room. Later that night there was a LIVE cockroach crawling in our room. The mattresses and pillows were VERY uncomfortable. We were genuinely surprised by the downtrodden condition of this hotel as we've always had great stays at LaQuinta Inn's in other areas. As there are many other hotels in the immediate vicinity I recommend you book with one of those instead until this hotel gets a top-to-bottom refurbishment.

This property needs to be renovated. The carpet was filthy, the water in the shower dripping all night. The bed was not comfortable and it was old, the sheets look like they haven't been changed. I had to stay because I couldn't get my money back. I had to purchase new towels and a blanket to put on the bed. I was out of so much money. I will never stay there again. I forgot the elevator was not working. Im a person with heart problems and can't walk the stairs because of my knees. I asked for a floor on the first floor and when I got there I had to wait an hour and a half. They staff person asked me could I come back.

Elevator or something all night long, attached to our room. 3 occupants, 2 towels, not a big deal. Not a lot of bedding, no extra bedding. Floor was from the 70s, stains. Outside door didn’t lock, anyone could get in. TV didn't work. General upkeep of the hotel was very poor. Breakfast was a joke. 5 minutes of runnin water before it was warm. Phone was a prop, like the TV. Pay the extra 40-50.00 so you don't have to worry whether you're taking bed bugs home with you.

The bathroom vent and ceiling had mold showing big time. The bathroom needs a good cleaning from floor up. The halls were beyond filth. The exterior property had people loitering around. The desk reception had a cold personality and not no so welcoming. Never stay again!!!!!

The lobby appeared clean as well as the breakfast area across from the check in desk. The hallway carpet to our first floor room was filthy. The carpet in our room was equally filthy as was the bathroom tub/shower. I killed five cockroaches in our room and a small spider in our 15 hour stay there. I was stationed in Jacksonville when I was in the Navy, so I realize cockroaches exist. My wife would have FREAKED OUT if she saw the roaches. The provided breakfast was below average in selection and quality. We paid $187 for this room d/t the ongoing Players' golf tournament nearby. We will NEVER chance staying at another La Quinta facility after this experience.

The staff was lovely. However, the internet was so bad, and the elevator was scary. We even tried to use a different elevator that did not make ominous sounds or frightening vibrations and it was, tragically, out of order. Still, we got what we paid for. I’d probably stay there again if I had to.

Rhis was a very unpleasant trip for my family. Check in gives a great impression, but when you enter the hallways, they look flooded water stains on every floor.Elevator is bad ,my grandchild kept getting caught in door only open for asplit seconds.I had difficulty with the key card,swipe after swipe after almost 50 tries before entering the room.Upon entering the room one of the was broken, so we had to wait until the staff came to repair the bed,instead of just giving me another room.Not a smoke free environment so feel free to smoke and that just killed my sinues with the smell of smoke and smoking. Woke up tonthe loudest noise in the hallway, couldn't sleep from the noise of a broken compressor or motor to something. I normally do great recommendation but,this was a very bad experience with this hotel, with all the inconvenience it caused me no acknowledging or apologies was given.
