The only thing that bothered me was that I don't know why they wanted to charge an extra amount for arriving 2 hours before the reservation, knowing that one traveling from far away is all about resting... but I talked to the friendly staff and I returned at the estimated time...

I don't care if this the only available hotel in Clifton, NJ for my next travel I won't be staying I'll just drive the extra miles. I honestly don't know where to start. Our hotel door was covered in a mystery white dust. The carpet had burn holes & was sticky. The bathroom sink had ashes in it. The curtain had old water stains. Dried up boogers on the wall. You can't adjust the temperature so I sweated in my sleep from dry air. The room carries the odor of an old apartment building. My 15 yr old son complained the entire time of our stay. I told him look on the bright side we'll rarely be in the room thank God.

Guest services was incredibly helpful and nice to work with, the only complaint I really have is the breathing nasal strip that was stuck to the back of the shower wall. 😅 There was damage to the wall by the counter that holds the mini fridge, too. A good scrubbing and some slight updating to the facility would do some good, but the stay was pleasant otherwise.

Couldn’t shower. Tub was atrocious. Lifted the toilet stool seat and there was purple slimey stuff on the seat and top. There was blood on my kids bed sheets when they went to lay down. The entire motel needs to close down and remodel. The appearance coming in looks like a jail and none of the doors work so we have to walk through the lobby. I’m over it.

The room was dirty when we checked in. It was late when we checked it so we did not want to create an issue to lessen our sleep time. So we did not sit on the couch and touch anything except the bathroom and bed areas. The overall experience was ok.
