Great stay, beautiful view!
Room was ready early, beautiful view from the 3rd floor to the ocean, room was spotless. Nice folks at check in with beautiful lounge area. Plenty of parking, felt safe. Indoor and outdoor pool is small with comfy lounge chairs, hotel has direct access to the beach.

The property was a pleasant surprise. Our room was super clean and looked just like the pictures online, so no surprises there. The only items I suggest that could be improved upon are: first, the daily breakfast could have been better quality, although the breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent. Second, our room had high humidity and felt damp and wet, a dehumidifier in the room could have helped with that. And third, the bathroom was smaller than I was expecting. These items are just observations and in no way deal breakers on whether or not I would stay here again. In fact, we will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others. I give the hotel a four star rating out of five. I was very pleased with my experience. Thank you for providing a good quality stay!

Solid B . Nice room, nice TV, good space, great A/C, nice little fridge and microwave. pool is fine, not that large, but there is also an indoor pool. Hot tub is great, very popular. Fantastic breakfast, free with room. Very close to beach, great beach, great sunrises.

Amazing location!
Amazing location right on the beach. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, the bathroom/entry was a little tight. But for the price and location and quality it was GREAT!

See previous notes - overall we would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again. Staff was great - friendly and helpful. Needed some touch-ups on cleaning. Rained in the night but outside tables were still wet - they should've been wiped off so people could sit there. Garbage in the dunes between hotel & beach - someone should pick it up so the place looks tidier. Walkway in the Tower building, could use a washing.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, even let us use the breakfast area to put tables together so our family and friends could play games. Our room was in the "tower" on the 3rd floor - nice view of the ocean and sunrises. Gazebo was really nice as was the walkway to the beach. Couple "downers" - the dune area between hotel and beach had trash in the bushes. There needs to be someone to pick up what is blown in or people are rude enough to leave behind. We stayed a week, but I don't think our floor was ever vacuumed. While we did our best not to track sand in, it happened, so having the floor vacuumed, even once would have been nice. Breakfast was good. Shopping was near by as were some eating places. All within walking distances. Overall, we loved our stay; would recommend the hotel to others and would stay here again.

Always our go to when we travel to OBX. Nice breakfast options, even for the pickiest of kids. Housekeeping daily, which is important when you’re there for a week. Clean and well maintained pool areas. We love the option of both indoor and outdoor pools. A short and easy walk to the beach. We always get a balcony room to enjoy the sunrise. Can’t wait to come back!

Loved our stay at Shutters!!
Great location and clean room with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teens. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and staff was constantly restocking items and cleaning up the area. Also enjoyed the pool area. We have stayed here before, and most likely will return in the future!!

Simple beautiful little boutique hotel. Nice clean rooms with great views. Stay in the tower building for the best views of then ocean due to the dunes. Walking stance to several restaurants and stores. Great experience.
