Breakfast was great! Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful. There used to be smoking rooms available but the hotel is now smoke-free; you can, however, smell stale smoke in the hallways/room.

The gentleman who checked us in was the perfect personality for the job. After a 14 hour drive we were exhausted. His welcoming demeanor helped in the “ahhhh” of finally arriving at our hotel. The room was in need of a new tub and there were cigarette burns on our night stand. The floor in the breakfast area was in need of washing. The ladies staffing were lovely. Sadly overall impression was not fully updated and in need of some sanitization. The price was great. Guests will have to decide priorities on their own.

Towels have turned from "white" to "brown". Mattress is poor quality. Refrigerator coukd barel keep items cold. The heating/cooling unit is so obsolete with poor functionality. The property needs extensive renovation.

Stay booked through EXPEDIA.CA. for 1 night 1 room 3 people. We are from out of town. My brother and his wife arrived before I did. They were not allowed to enter the room because i was the one who booked it. They were told they needed to pay for the room themselves and a $100 deposit fee in order to have access to rhe room to showeer and get themselves ready for our function. I was contacted and told them the room was already paid for and i was on my way but they refused to let them in. I also offered to send my sisternlaw a picture of my Visa for the $100. These people were relentless at not working with the customer. Very poor customer service! Breakfast was just horrendous. For a Sunday morning the busiest day they had limited muffin, yogurt and bagel varieties. Also we asked if tjey had other fruit asides from the 1 green apple in thw basket and were stumped at the answer " no all we have are the green apples! Really!! Wint be staying and definately do not recommend!!

Convenient for those with their own transport and the rooms being on just two floors (with access to the upper one by stairs) meant that half the rooms at least were all quiet. Rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the outside and chairs are provided there for guests to sit out in good weather. Drawback for late risers is that the breakfast area is fairly small and insufficient at times for the total number of guests in the buildiing. Variety of food available is quite good though.
