Accommodation In Koya

With only 1 hotel within a 10-kilometre radius of central Koya, consider booking a place to stay as soon as possible.

There are a handful of hotels within easy walking distance from the centre of Koya. The Koyasan Syukubo Ekoin is a good choice as it is only 3 kilometres away.

The Kotorian is positioned 30 kilometres from the heart of Koya. Or, alternatively, the Kashihara Royal Hotel is 35 kilometres away. Another possibility is to book a room at the Inunakisan Grand Hotel Kisenkaku or the HOTEL Celavie RESORT Izumiotsu - Adults Only.

After you've hung out in Koya for a while, discover Kinki's many other offerings. Photographers will love Kinki's beaches. If nature's not your thing, visit some of the region's ruins, castles and traditional villages. In this region of Japan, tourists might also partake in mountain biking, hiking and cycling.

Our stay at the Ekoin Temple was a highlight of our trip to Japan and we will be back! Thank you to all the wonderful people of Koyasan and our shukubo for their hospitality, kindness, and openness to welcoming visitors to this most special place. Our accommodations, the food, and temple grounds were truly wonderful. But most of all, I would like to express gratitude to Nori who we were fortunate enough to be paired with for the many offerings the as part of the stay. Thank you Nori for sharing your stories and educating us about Koyasan’s sacred history.
