All the staff were super friendly and helpful! Breakfast buffet was delicious with good options. Rooms were very clean and modern. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kyoto. Plus the free shuttle bus to Kyoto station was very helpful in getting around

This hotel is very centrally located. It was an easy flat walk to Kyoto station, but the shuttle also goes there twice an hour and picks up from there twice an hour. The breakfast buffet was incredibly extensive. The only negative is that the rooms were kind of small, but they were fine. it was large enough for me to share with a friend. The electric water kettle in the room was a bonus.

For native Japanese citizens this is a fantastic hotel. You can tell the quality of service they are provided by watching their interactions with hotel staff. As an international traveler, unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel to my friends and family, nor anyone traveling to Kyoto from overseas. The condition of the room was worn, mouldy vents, and overall outdated. We selected a superior double room with two beds. I regret that I was very uncomfortable with the sleeping conditions. The shuttle bus catered mainly to native travellers going to and from the station for their conveniency, all the while asking my parter and I to wait even though we were at the front of the Que waiting to board. It is to my understanding, first come first served. This is just one of the many examples where my partner and I, did not feel welcome or comfortable. There seems to be a strong prejudice towards travellers despite our efforts to protect traditional Japanese and Kyoto customs. Not exclusive to this hotel, the general theme of Kyoto has been, unfortunately, bias on some occasions, and even hostile on a separate occasion to overseas visitors. I regret to say that I will not be traveling to this hotel nor Kyoto in the foreseeable future.

Wish the hotel shuttle is more frequent and runs later into the night. Currently only 2 shuttles bus per hour, once the shuttle is full, you have to find alternate transportation to Kyoto station. Buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of food. Japanese breakfast was also good, but the menu is the same everyday. Everything else about the hotel was great!

Large rooms, very nice hotel lobby. Shuttle bus to and from Kyoto train station every 30 minutes is very convenient. Good breakfast choices. Only problem to me is no individual room temperature control. Both of our rooms are kept around 25C/77F, which is too high for me in the summer in Kyoto. Overall good stay, will recommend.
